Bad News: I will not be editing down streams. I thought I had a way to make it waaaay easier. Nope. It was awful. And I HATE editing. And this is supposed to be fun! SOOOO… that just means more time for more streams! Huzzah!

Hi friends!
I’d hoped to make a video about this but life has gotten crazy and I never had the time. If you haven’t guessed already, I’m no longer streaming or posting videos on YouTube. I don’t know if this will be forever (I want to come back for Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age 4) but other than that, I can’t say I’ll be back. This is for several reasons:
1) I’ve said since the beginning my acting career comes first and I’m so fortunate that I’ve had amazing opportunities. If I told my younger self the projects I’m being considered for I’d freak out. But preparing for auditions, callbacks, rehearsals, etc. takes lots of time and I had to pick. Believe it or not, but streaming takes SO much more time off camera than you would think.
2) The gaming community. I’ve been so blessed that 90% of my viewers have been supportive, kind, caring, and lovely. I can’t say that for the rest. As a woman who games, I received daily messages and comments filled with misogynistic, disgusting, vulgar, uninformed, and ignorant hate. I have several male streamer colleagues who could not believe the entitlement male viewers felt that they had over my appearance, time, and body nor could they believe the audacity of some of the comments and DMs. Al because I am a woman. Newsflash: just because a woman games does not mean she’s doing it looking for male attention, that she does sex work, or that frankly, you have any right to her whatsoever. All I wanted was to share my love of gaming with others. Do better. Call out others’ behavior. If you see hate, call it out. Remaining silent is allowing it to happen.
Somedays, I miss it. But I now have free time. I didn’t have that for awhile. And I have peace of mind. Well, more so than I did before. I know this wasn’t elaborately stated but I couldn’t string you along anymore.
