Welcome to the channel!
I make metal melting and metal casting videos, along with other creative DIY and foundry projects.
Most of my metal melting is done using a microwave metal melting setup, where I melt metals like aluminum, cast iron, bronze, and copper. Occasionally, I experiment with other metals too.
You'll also find tutorials on how to:
Melt metals in a microwave
Build your own microwave kiln
Burn out molds for metal casting
If you're into home foundry work, DIY metallurgy, or just curious about what a microwave can really do—subscribe and join the journey!

Look, Mum! I’m officially a bladesmith now! 😊 This is my first attempt at making a knife, and yep, it’s made out of iron. But that’s not the only difference… Other people’s knives? Razor sharp. Mine? Let’s say… it’s a work in progress. I didn’t want to go overboard on the sharpening yet, so it’s just sharp-ish for now.
It’s time to figure out how to actually sharpen it properly! I’ll be stocking up on some sharpening stones (or, you know, whatever you need to turn a blunt object into a blade) and binge-watching pro knife-making videos.
Jokes aside it's a proper iron knife that just needs a proper sharpening. Maybe instead of sharpening it myself, I can take it to one of those knife sharpening places 😂
It's premiered today:

This is part of the next video, but it's not the main cast of the video. I was working on the "Dice" video when I realized I needed to drill a hole in my new table to set up my vacuum casting rig. Unfortunately, I couldn't open my drill's chuck and didn't have the key for it. Since my toolset is limited, I kept trying over and over without success.
I even watched a few YouTube tutorials on how to open a stuck chuck, but had no luck. So, I went to a local hardware store and bought two sets of chuck keys. One was too big, and the other (a 4-in-1 key) was close but still not the right fit. Despite this, I still couldn't open the drill chuck. It turned out the key was made of aluminum and stripped very quickly.
Frustrated and disappointed that my day wasn't going as planned, I took a deep breath and asked myself if there was a hidden message or opportunity in this setback. Then I thought, maybe I could try making my own key by casting it in iron. So, I did a speedrun of printing, mold-making, and casting. In about 2.5 hours, I had a key and was able to open the drill chuck. In the end, I got some interesting footage that wasn't even planned 😊
I hope to publish the "Dice" video this week, assuming no more surprises.
Update: EH, yeah...It's not happening this week, but next. As always I am too optimistic.
