Skipper's Alley are a young 7-piece band specialising in Irish traditional music and song. Based in Dublin, Ireland, the group recorded their debut self-titled EP in the summer of 2012, which enjoyed positive reviews and a successful release.

In August, the band then competed at the Festival Interceltique du Lorient where, after five successful performances, they were awarded the Loic Raison Trophy (previously won by such groups as The Bothy Band, Clannad and Danú)

Currently, Skipper's Alley prepare for their debut album which will be released towards the end of 2014. This year also sees the band appear at various festivals including Temple Bar Trad Fest, Killarney's 'The Gathering', and Southwell Folk Festival.
