What is happening in Palestine is absolutely abhorrent. Make no mistake, this is an ongoing genocide.
I’ve just released a short animated poem to convey the rage and despair I feel towards the people in power that are enabling this massacre. Our western governments are absolutely complicit in this ongoing genocide, and i will never let them forget it, and neither should you. For those of you reading this who, whether consciously or unconsciously, may be turning a blind eye to what is happening in Palestine. I’m here to encourage you to use your voice, your power, to help end this suffering as soon as possible.
The Palestinian people are being annihilated right before our eyes. It has been happening for many decades prior to Oct 7th, but now is the first time it’s been widely broadcast from the ground, for all eyes to see. Yes, the footage is truly harrowing. I know many people will not want to watch it for that exact reason… and i can sympathise, cus’ I’ll be honest;
I really don’t want to see videos of babies with bones so crushed that their tiny bodies dangle, more lifeless than dead in the arms of those pulling them from the rubble.
I really don’t wanna hear the screams of despair from a child that has just realised every single member of their family have been martyred, and they will never get to say goodbye.
I really don’t want to see the IDF strap a fatally wounded Palestinian man to the hood of their vehicle for use as a human shield as he slowly bleeds out.
I really don’t want to see an elderly palestinian woman brutally mauled by Israeli trained military dogs whilst she was trying to rest at her refugee camp and temporary home.
I REALLY REALLY don’t want to see all the corpses of human beings, individual people with hopes and dreams, left rotting in the streets.
I don’t want to see any of this shit. Nobody does… but we MUST understand what is going on. We cannot be apathetic. We must know the injustice. We must be outraged, and let that outrage fuel action against the systems that enable this. We MUST be crystal clear to those who represent us that we ABSOLUTELY OBJECT to our tax payer money funding genocide. Will not be intimidated by thuggish police. We WILL NOT SHUT UP. We will NOT stop until Palestine is free.
…and this also extends to any and all people suffering under colonialism, or systems of oppression, or conservative white-supremasist mindsets that tell people they can only be accepted and respected, that they are only worthy of life if they fit into a very particular mould. That there is one ‘right’ way to be. That diversity is something to be feared and controlled, rather than celebrated. I’m so fucking tired of this shit, we have to try to change it.
So here I am, encouraging you to get out there and speak up! Go to protests! Scream out with all of your being. Sing songs of liberation! Dance in the streets even. Tap into your creative side; make art that will grab the public’s attention. Write music that will inspire action. Let your strengths guide you.
If you aren’t able to physically protest, be outspoken online. Continue to write to your gov reps/MPs. Ask questions and stay curious. Visit and/or support your local student encampments; they often host talks on everything from collective liberation to education and celebration of Palestinian culture to ensure it is never erased.

Other than that, I’d recommend following organised movements in your city on social media so you can keep in the loop of events, talks and organised protests/vigils, and how you can help.

If you have spare funds, please donate what you can afford. I can recommend a local team of activists in my city, who are travelling to Cairo to deliver cash directly to displaced Palestinian families. I plan to donate any and all ad revenue generated by my animated poem, though YT has branded it as ‘unsuitable’ for most advertisers, classic. However I ABSOLUTELY plan to run some kinda arty fundraiser after I’m settled into creating videos again.
The main goal of my animated poem was to grab people’s attention. I hope it does exactly that. We need everyone to scream “FUCK THIS SHIT”.
You might be thinking, 'how can I, one singular person on this planet make a difference?'... But you aren't one single person, you are not alone in this fight. We are SO MUCH stronger together. Whilst what is going on in Palestine is horrific, I stand here incredibly grateful for everything I've learned about cultures outside my own. I am so grateful for the all the friendships and connections I've made with fellow protestors and activists. I'm so honoured to be friends with people who see injustice, and tear it a fvckin new one. I am constantly inspired by those around me who are honestly trying to make the world a better place. I see the fire in them, and it makes my flames burn brighter than ever.
So yeah, I do have hope. I've seen firsthand how people can come together under such tragic circumstances, and still make room for joy and celebration, and kindness to one and other. We take care of eacother. We're all in it together for the long run. Change won't happen overnight, but I believe we do have the power to shift this. to change the world even. Have you ever seen Bugs Life? We can absolutely wreck those grasshoppers my dudes.
Palestine will be free, because we the people will make it so. Remember; THE PEOPLE - UNITED - WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED.

So I decided to take the pressure off myself, and make something a bit more straight forward (goal or topic wise) and just allowing my chaotic vibe to flow into that haha... Plus, what I focus on in the vid actively improves my life/enviro. It all lined up, so i just went for it :)

I had intended to get this Self Expression vid out tomorrow (before i go on my first proper vacay since 2019 >:'O), but when your ONLY bathroom is being gutted and re-fitted over previous three weeks... surprise surprise, working from home and recording is suddenly a LOT more of a challenge. so i'm a bit behind on everything (normal for me i guess, smh haha)
BUT...maybe it was meant to be, cus i've managed to get an awesome sponsor on board (genuinely use it everyday kinda scenario). It's the kind of sponsor that I was personally gonna reach out to had they not contacted me first, haha! So that's exciting.

Behind the scenes over the last 7 months I've been assessing a load of stuff that wasn't working for me, and how I could bring that sparkle back. Not gonna lie, it wasn't easy... or fun :') Basically all signs pointed to changing things up... so I took the time (properly this time) to figure out what that could look like, and come up with a plan. Plan is now in motiooonn, and that means also ensuring there are new videos lined up to release after this one.
The next video is gonna be a bit of an honest chat about how 'storytime animation' kinda backed me into a creative corner, and how I've had to unlearn a load of bad mind sets to finally let go of what wasn't working for me. It's a bit of a long one, but I wanna talk about it. I think it might be helpful for other people that may have a brain like mine, or struggle with perfectionism. But also to talk about what i'm excited for going forwards! :D

Hello! Long time eh? haaaaa. awks.
