When Russians drink vodka they sing folk songs acapella. Yes, they always do.
English subtitles (as close to the lyrics as possible) and short necessary commentaries are placed into every clip. Hope this will be helpful both for those who wish to understand a song and those who aim to study Russian language.
I am not the best English speaker (so subtitles might have occasional mistakes) - but I do drink vodka and sing all this staff with my friends, which may well be more important than the language skills.
Remember - a song becomes "Russian folk song" only if it nicely goes acapella. So, after watching these clips go drink some vodka and sing. And if it still sounds imperfect - drink more vodka and sing again. See, now it's much better. And if you can't memorize more than first 2 lines and go radiotuner-style don't worry. Sincerely speaking, most Russians have the same problem.
