And it’s an especially happy Friday if you happen to like our band, because today tickets for our upcoming run of dates with the original Field Music trio go on general sale. Yes, to celebrate 20 years since the release of our self-titled debut we’ll be playing songs from the early years of our so-called career at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds (7th Nov), Islington Assembly Hall in London (8th Nov) and a hometown show at The Fire Station in Sunderland (14th Nov). We haven’t done a lot of looking back over those twenty years, but we’re going to allow ourselves a moment of nostalgia just this once.
Binding Time, our album collaboration with the NASUWT Riverside Brass Band will be available to stream from 28th March. It was originally released on vinyl for last years Record Store Day so we're very pleased that more of you will now get a chance to hear it. To whet your appetites, The Death of Blind Davy is available to stream now. Give it a listen here: ffm.to/blind_davy
Big thanks to all those who came along to the instore tour last month and have bought or listened to Limits of Language. We're heading out on a short run of UK dates next February. Tickets available here: field-music.co.uk/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaYmkG…
The day is finally upon us! Our eighth (or maybe 11th, or maybe 17th?) album Flat White Moon is out in the wild today. Whether you listen on vinyl or CD or over the interweb and whether you get your music on a streaming platform or buy it online or from your favourite local record shop, you can get these 12 tracks from our brains into your ears now. We hope you have the time and the patience to give it a listen and we hope you find some joy in it. Here are some options for you to listen and order:
Rough Trade smarturl.it/FlatWhiteMoon/roughtrade (signed sun yellow vinyl) Our Shop: smarturl.it/FlatWhiteMoon/officialstore (sun yellow vinyl, exclusive Field Music homeware and t-shirts plus live stream ticket) Piccadilly Records smarturl.it/FlatWhiteMoon/piccadillyrecords Resident Brighton smarturl.it/FlatWhiteMoon/resident Jumbo Records smarturl.it/FlatWhiteMoon/jumborecords Bandcamp: smarturl.it/FlatWhiteMoon/bandcamp

Hi everybody! It's less than a month until Flat White Moon is released so it seems like a good time to get another song out there - this one is called Not When You're In Love - a cinematic scenic route around (not) being in love or perhaps not being IN love or maybe even wanting to know what love is (and wanting someone to show you, in the immortal words of the singer from Foreigner). It comes complete with a non-stop word association video made by Peter and our good pal Andy Martin, and also with a new episode of our Field Musicast podcast where we talk about some of the influences and ideas behind the song. If you've not preordered Flat White Moon WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? smarturl.it/FlatWhiteMoon
Seeing as a lot of the things we'd usually do around an album release - gigs, instores, radio sessions, sending out signed snotty hankies - are a bit tricky right now, we've been thinking of other ways to keep you (and us) amused. So, we've been putting together a podcast - THE FIELD MUSICAST! - where, at least for the first batch of pods, we choose a song from our new album Flat White Moon and talk about some of the songs and sounds which inspired that particular track.
Episode 1: Orion From The Street is available now on Spotify which includes the songs we talk about, but if you get your podcasts elsewhere (should be up on Apple soon), we've included links to those tracks in the description.
For anyone out there who’s always wondered about the creative turmoil we go through to put together a Field Music song, you can check out our instructional video for No Pressure. We’re expecting the endorsement deals to come flooding in after this.
And we are also delighted to let you know our new album Flat White Moon will be released on 23rd April. All the pre order details here: smarturl.it/FlatWhiteMoon

We're still at it with the Limits of Language track by track, this week discussing track 8, On the Other Side.
Tune in to hear us talk about yet another Field Music song about parenthood and how we might eventually achieve our The Police dreams.

Last month we dropped into @SohoRadioUK to cut two songs straight to disc. You can watch us doing it (while Peter listens back)
