Here is a re-post without the link of just the meatball recipe...
Ok Christina Q, and everyone else who was waiting on Linda's meatball recipe, I know I kept you waiting too long - she was pre-occupied with a cookie recipe this week for a cookie party, but I finally got her to dig out the meatball recipe, so here it is:

Authentic Italian meatballs (ingredients)
2 lbs ground beef
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1 onion finely diced
a couple of pinches of parsley
4 eggs
1 cup parmesan cheese
1 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt or garlic powder.
Mix all ingredients well roll into a ball and then you can either pan fry or Linda likes to bake them at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes (its healthier that way) and then you can add them to your pot of sauce and let them simmer for about an hour or two in the savory goodness of a nice tomato gravy!

There you have it, let me know how yours turn out!

Bible Study With Derrick

Hello to all my friends on YouTube, as some of you are aware, I have continued to struggle with my health this week. Just as I was starting to get rid of my cough, a sore throat came over me on Sunday making it difficult to speak and painful to swallow. I have been taking antibiotics and am feeling a bit better today, so I am going to go back to work for the first time this week.

All of this to say, I am still not 100% and while I plan on doing Unanswered Questions today, depending on how I am feeling and what time I get done with work, I may postpone the time from 4:30 to 5 PM I will try not to, but if you see a time change later today that is why. Looking forward to seeing you later - some good questions coming up today! God Bless!

To all my friends on YouTube: I have been struggling with my voice all week and have been limiting my speaking time and gargling a lot of salt water. I am going to try to come on Uptime for a while this anfternoon and see how I hold up. I will also be doing Unanswered Questions tomorrow for ONE HOUR ONLY to try to keep from overusing my voice so that I will have it for Friday night Bible study. See you this afternoon!

Make sure to tune in to Uptime tomorrow afternoon - I will be on the panel and we will be tackling a series of hard questions from a viewer of mine who emailed me these questions and is beginning to question the traditional interpretations of the pre tribulation rapture and the 7 year tribulation - this should be a good show!

Bible Study With Derrick

A little blessing that I wanted to share with everyone today.

This morning I was on my way with my family and some of our out of town friends to see a football game. It had rained overnight and the atmosphere was just clearing out of moisture and the remnants of the storm.

We were on the shuttle to the stadium and my wife noticed a rainbow. I wish I had been able to catch a picture but it was so brief and almost as soon as she spotted it the shuttle bus pulled into downtown Nashville where the buildings of man’s making crowded out the wonder of God’s creation.

However it was a thing of such beauty and since I fancy myself a bit of a wordsmith let me do my best to paint a picture with words.

The unique thing about this rainbow, like nothing I have ever seen was it was not thin and high in the sky, it was THICK and rose up from the horizon. With puffy, billowy silver white clouds in the background from the freshly passed storm, the rainbow rose from the horizon and easily looked almost as tall as any building man could make.

But still not quite tall enough to show itself above the Nashville skyline which sadly crowded it out.

The brief glimpse reminded me of what the throne room of heaven must look like, or at least a sneak peek, a poor earthly representation.

It was magnificent enough that it stopped what everyone was doing and everyone had their eyes fixed on that side of the shuttle bus to maybe catch one brief, fleeting glimpse of this wonder of God in between the concrete canyons that are formed between the rows of buildings in any big city. And we did luckily catch one or two more fleeting glimpses but nothing long enough to catch a picture.

This whole thing just caused me to remember the power and might of God. Our lives can seem so routine and yet at a moment’s time our mighty and magnificent God can upstage us all and everything we are focused on can instantly change with just one brief glimpse of His creative power and majesty.

The skies remained broken and overcast for a while as we entered the stadium until the game was about to begin and the national anthem was sung, at this point fireworks went off and brilliant sunshine broke through the clouds causing me to thank God that at least for now, I still live in the greatest, most free place on earth.

We may be on borrowed time in our nation and indeed each and every day is a gift of God. He is all around us and ever present if we just take time to look for Him and recognize Him when He shows Himself. And in those times give Him the praise, glory and thanksgiving the He is worthy of and deserves.

Amen.

This was a picture someone else took and my daughter found on Facebook and it just does not do it justice.
