I just uploaded a new video from Central Java 🇮🇩
This time, I visited a small village near Borobudur and documented how traditional Javanese palm sugar (Gula Jawa) is still made by hand — starting from fresh coconut sap, slowly boiled over a wood fire for hours, then molded using coconut shells.
What surprised me most wasn’t just the process, but the atmosphere: quiet rice fields, a traditional pawon kitchen, and a simple tea ritual where you bite the palm sugar before sipping warm jasmine tea.
