Good Friday is ironic because I’m sure Jesus did not actually feel any ounce of good when he was crucified on the cross.
No one could know better than Jesus on that day what it felt like to have lost all hope. I mean to be betrayed, rejected, abandoned and mocked by those that he loved in one of the darkest times, I can imagine hope felt hard.
Yet Jesus still went to the cross. He still chose us despite our messiness. For that alone, I am forever grateful.
Good Friday is good because it spoke of what was to come after the pain. A living hope that cannot be shaken would be given freely unto us.
If that’s where you find yourself today, struggling to hold on to hope. Know that Jesus can relate to how you feel. He’s there in your pain with you.
Tomorrow at 12 PM EST, I am doing a live premiere of my newest YouTube Video, 5 Bible Verses to Resurrect Hope In Your Own Life (And how to ACTUALLY apply them in practical ways!).
I’ll be watching it live right along with you and can answer any questions or comments during the premiere. The story of Jesus’ resurrection is a reminder that it is possible to have hope again.
