Uffie (born Anna-Catherine Hartley on December 9, 1987) is a Miami-born, Hong Kong-raised, Paris-based underground electro artist, vocalist, rapper, entertainer, songwriter, producer and fashion designer currently signed by French music label Ed Banger Records and Elektra Records. She has been described as a muse for French DJs, and her electronic music is known for its unique combination of the genres French house, synthpop, electro hop, nu-disco, club music and synthpunk, while performing her lyrics in an 'anti-flow' delivery. Uffie is known for working with her fellow label-mates and friends, Feadz, Mr. Oizo and SebastiAn, as well as producer Mirwais.
She is perhaps best known for her extremely successful single "Pop the Glock", as well as "ADD SUV", "F1rst Love", "Ready to Uff", "MC's Can Kiss", and most notably, "Tthhee Ppaarrttyy", her 2007 collaboration with labelmates Justice. Her recent live performances have been compared to other artists in the Andy Warhol art movement. In 2010, Uffie announced her partnership with clothing brand, Diesel to design their fall collection which will be out later that year.
Her long awaited debut album, Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans, which she describes as music that chronicled "the end of my crazy youth and the intro to my adult life" was released in Europe through Ed Banger Records on June 11, 2010 and in the US by Elektra Records on June 22, 2010.
