Sharing Jungkook and his family’s Resident Registration Number in South Korea is the same as leaking someone’s Social Security Number in the US. In the past, they even exposed Jungkook’s passport photo online. These organized and vicious attacks have targeted Jungkook, his family, and BTS members for years.
Yes, South Korea’s Resident Registration Number (RRN) is the equivalent of a Social Security Number (SSN) in the US. It’s a 13-digit national identification number used for banking, employment, and government services, and it contains sensitive details like birthdate, gender, and place of birth.
It’s shocking that someone posted Jungkook and his family’s Resident Registration Number online, which makes them targets for financial crimes. Reports say it took a year just to delete such leaked info. What is HYBE even doing?
