Big news from the homestead—a Mississippi Kite has made a nest right above our chicken yard!

These beautiful raptors are known for their sleek gray bodies and graceful flight.

Don’t worry—our chickens are safe for now. Mississippi Kites typically hunt insects like grasshoppers and dragonflies, making them a natural pest control ally in the garden.

Why this matters:
