California has the 7th highest rate of human trafficking in the United States. In fact, there are about 3.8 trafficking victims in California for every 100,000 civilians.

Considering that there are close to 39.54 million people in the state according to the 2020 census, the estimate translates to over 1,500 trafficking victims.

With rates this high, it's necessary that people understand how to identify victims to report instances of this crime. From there, these traffickers will face consequences to the standard of the laws.

In a previous video, we went over all of the CMMC Level 2 requirements as they stand today.

CMMC is going to cause such a massive shakeup to the defense industrial base that it behooves every DoD contractor to start getting a grasp on everything now so that they aren’t blindsided once it has finally arrived.

Other than the requirements themselves with regard to CMMC level 2, there are still a ton of questions that defense industrial base contractors have.

It would be great if the CMMC-AB could answer all of those questions, but it’s busy finalizing rulemaking.

As if working in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) wasn’t stressful enough already, the entire ecosystem is in the midst of a massive shake-up. Of course, what I’m referring to is the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).



If this is the first time you’ve heard that phrase, I wouldn’t say you’re “in trouble”...you still have a little bit of time to prepare. That preparation window is starting to close, though.



Maybe you’re already familiar with the acronym and heard that the DoD recently pushed out the massive update, CMMC 2.0.



Or, you knew what level your organization needed to pursue in the first version, saw the changes proposed in the second, and don’t know where you land anymore.



If the DoD hasn’t finalized CMMC yet, is it even worth putting energy towards figuring it out right now? That’s a great question and the answer is…yes.
