Battery capacity difference!

In the United States, the iPhone 17 Pro Max comes with a 5088mAh battery, while the Chinese version has a slightly smaller 4823mAh battery, which is 265mAh less.

The same applies to the iPhone 17 Pro: the U.S. version has a 4252mAh battery, whereas the Chinese version is limited to 3988mAh, again 265mAh smaller.

The reason for this difference is that the U.S. models have fully transitioned to eSIM only, eliminating the need for a physical SIM tray. However, the Chinese models still require a physical SIM card slot, which takes up extra internal space—leading to a slightly reduced battery capacity.
