China Global Television Network, or CGTN, is an international media organization launched on December 31, 2016. It aims to provide global audiences with accurate and timely news coverage as well as rich audiovisual services, promoting communication and understanding between China and the world, and enhancing cultural exchanges and mutual trust between China and other countries.
Headquartered in Beijing, CGTN has three production centers, located in Nairobi, Washington D.C. and London, all staffed with international professionals from around the world.
Adhering to the principles of objectivity, rationality and balance in reporting, CGTN endeavors to present information from diverse perspectives.

Japanese militarism is the common enemy of people all over the world, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Friday.
Guo also said that China will work with all peace-loving countries and people to safeguard the outcomes of the World War Two victory and the post-war international order.
"We urge the Japanese side to do deep soul-searching on history, earnestly draw lessons from it, completely sever ties with militarism, and take concrete actions to eliminate the residual influence," Guo told a daily press briefing.

December 13 marks China's National Memorial Day for the victims of the Nanjing Massacre. On this day in 1937, the invading Japanese army captured Nanjing and the atrocities began. Over the next six weeks, more than 300,000 Chinese civilians and unarmed soldiers were killed by the Japanese invaders. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. As of December 2025, only 24 survivors of the Nanjing Massacre are still alive. Today, let us pay tribute to the victims and remember one of the darkest chapters of history.
