Legend has it that this hearty soup was whipped up to cure none other than General Santa Anna’s hangover—the Mexican president who, let’s be honest, isn’t exactly a national favorite. But hangovers are universal, right? So here’s the story…
It all started when General Santa Anna woke up with a massive hangover—the kind that makes the room spin. He had a Hacienda in Tlalpa where it is said that he used to organize massive parties. Of course, the next day, he was feeling like dying. He called for his cook to make something to bring him back to life. So, she quickly boiled up a fresh hen, added garbanzo beans, tossed in a smoky chipotle chile for that extra kick, and topped it off with some creamy avocado and pieces of queso fresco to balance the flavors of this spicy soup. And just like that, Caldo Tlalpeño was born!

My boys can happily eat this soup three days in a row—it’s that good! And honestly, I love it just as much. Ready to try it for yourself?

The real masacres are politicians sponsored by weapons manufacturers who put their careers before the common good and are able to pass absurd laws that allow 18-year-olds to buy a weapon of war like an R15 before they are even allowed to drink alcohol.
Every mass shooting comes with an R15 and my question is how do they keep selling those weapons? Why would a person want a war weapon in their home or collection?
They hide behind the fact that the young people who perpetrate these massacres have mental health problems and promote armed security in schools, supermarkets, and temples. Armed with an R15? the Uvalde school district in Texas had a program to allegedly detect possible perpetrators of massacres. A program in which they monitored social networks, a program in which the security guards of the school were armed.
The security guards couldn't stop Uvalde's killer, they couldn't stop his R15. They had detected him before entering the school but not only was he armed, he was wearing protective equipment that did not allow him to be shot down, he was shooting with a machine gun and police pistols could do little against him. He hurried when he was discovered and began to shoot, taking the lives of 21 people and then losing his own in combat with police.
How does a 7-year-old get over being evicted from his classroom amid blood, brain pieces, and visceral? Walking into the lifeless bodies of his teacher and classmates? Where does a mother get the strength to live without her little one?
This is avoidable and the answer is to vote. Prayers help but they must always be accompanied by action. Know your senator, know your governor, who funds it? There are no more people who want weapons not to be regulated than those who want strict regulation, but you know what? Those people in favor of selling machine guns to young people feel this is a personal fight, they are passionate about their freedom. And what kind of passion do we live? Until it happens right under our noses?
Get involved, register, meet, and press where it hurts the most...

🇺🇸 Kids love pasta. At least all kids I know never say no to a bowl full of spaghetti or penne rigatoni in tomato sauce. They might say no to veggies, so we are hiding a good portion of vegetables in this delicious homemade tomato sauce for pasta. If you want nutritious and delicious you have it!
INGREDIENTS

400 g tomato
1 tsp Italian herbs
1 carrot
1/2 stick of celery
1 garlic clove
2 tbsp of olive oil
3 tbsp of parmesan cheese
1 package of pasta
Instructions
Cut the carrot into pieces and cook in boiling water for two minutes
Add the celery and tomatoes to the water. Cover and let all boil for 7 minutes.
Set water to boil in a pot and once is bubble in add the pasta. Follow the instructions from the pasta box. My experience with brown rice and quinoa pasta is that it takes a little more to cook than wheat pasta. The chickpeas pasta cooks much faster.
Once the pasta is al dente get rid of the water and put the pasta back in the pot.
Blend the vegetables along with the garlic until you have a smooth sauce.
In a pan drop 2 spoons of olive oil. Let it warm up and then add the salsa and the Italian herbs along with salt to taste. Let it boil for 3 minutes.
Add the sauce to the pasta, mix and the add the Parmesan cheese and mix again.
Your pasta is ready to be serve.
