i recently researched a little about nilufer & asporca hatun..
so what i mostly read, and what mostly modern historians say about these two women is that, nilufer was a concubine of orhan ghazi while asporca was the first legal wife of orhan, yes nilufer was the first valide hatun & first christian concubine to be sultan's mother...
asporca's family background isn't confirmed yet.. if she's either a byzantine emperor's daughter or some says she wasn't a princess but just a byzantine noblewoman.
nilufer is historically being confused with other wives of orhan such as bayalun hatun or asporca hatun.. while they are diff ones.
the series showing nilufer as holofira first is inspired from asporca's historical story..
now i'm being confused what's the truth!!
if you guys can give me some historical resources to study about these ladies so i would be very thankful 🤍
and please be positive in the comment box! also a humble request is that be neutral while giving the historical resources! Avoid being biased! this shouldn't be like if u r a nilufer fan then u'll give documents which support nilufer moree and if u r asporca fan then asporca's side..
