Youtube is being fair for once, I feel blessed lol Make a video refuting my evidence and screenshots or explain how I took all of that (especially your QUAIL DYING OF THIRST MULTIPLE TIMES) out of context, Dan, instead of trying to hide your abuse by silencing me. That just makes you look even more guilty. Start going to therapy and rehome your animal hoard if you're having such a hard time mentally. Don't blame some "hater" on the internet who just compiled all the messed up shit you have made public into a video.

Would you guys appreciate a video about "good" Pettubers/pet channels I like? I keep trying to make that video but then end up deleting it when I'm halfway done cause I feel like nobody would care :') It's not like I'm the pet channel police who decides who is good or not.
I'm currently not in the headspace to make videos but I still want to talk about why Afroherpkeeper is a bad Pettuber. It's easy not to hear about all the messed up things that he does if you only follow him on Youtube, but he talks a lot about it in his Instagram comments and especially in his Discord server. I also had my own not so great run in with him and his fans on his Discord server that I will talk about more at the end of this post.
He constantly has animals escape and get eaten by his tegu or they are never seen again (we are talking at least 10 animals here, his hognose [that he collected from the wild only a month before] that got eaten by his tegu, some kinda lizards that probably died of starvation, quails that got eaten by his ball python, others that I can't remember off the top of my head. Let me know if you want the exact list and I will reply to you with it if I can find it). He didn't even have locks on his rattlesnake cages for a long time, though I think that he finally got some recently.
He can afford new animals that he finds on Facebook (but says they got surrendered to him lulz) but not a vet visit for his ball python Saturn that has an abscess tooth. He said he doesn't want to visit the vet with her because he has other animals to take care of and that this isn't his priority. Being a Youtuber too, I can estimate how much he makes from Youtube revenue and I can assure you that it's not enough and that he is dead broke. He recently even admitted that he only has 100 bucks to his name but a collection of 100s of animals worth a lot of money.
Daniel feeds live and refuses to not feed live as he thinks that getting killed by a predator such as a rattlesnake is the most humane and natural thing to happen to a prey animal. If anyone doesn't know how rodents are affected by getting killed by snakes, especially rattlesnakes, go ahead and look it up. It's traumatizing to the rodent, it's dangerous for the snake and there really isn't a difference enrichment wise between feeding a live animal and waving around a frozen thawed rodent in front of the predator. Not to mention that his rodent feeders enclosure is complete crap. He justifies this, and many of his other bad enclosures, with that he got his animals in these conditions. That'd be fine for a few days but he has had some animals that are still in abysmal enclosures for months. Keeping his ball pythons in 20g tanks (and then justifying THIS by saying that other ball pythons are in worse conditions) isn't even his worst offense.
Many people seem to think that he's a good pet owner because he has some decent looking enclosures. It's great that he doesn't just stick them into tubs (though he has recently decided to ditch his current set ups and go for tubs instead), but the pure death count he has racked up out of pure negligence kind of ruins anything good that he does. I don't know the exact number but it's got to be at least in the 20s - and that is just counting the past few months. Considering that his feeder rodents cannibalize each other all the time, his quails apparently occasionally die because he forgot to give them water and that I don't know about every single animal that died, the number is probably even higher than that. I won't go into detail in this post about how they all died etc, but I'll link an imgur album for all the claims I am making.
And yeah, it's normal to have more animals die when you have a lot of them. But Dans animals aren't dying of natural causes like old age or illnesses that are out of his control - they die because of dumb mistakes that he makes and or neglect.

Though he can't get any help because he's too broke to pay anyone, so rehoming is really the only option. He's not even considering slowing down, he says he wants to get a new kind of animal every damn day.
Now, about the Discord thing: I had started my own Discord server a few months ago, just to talk about animals and about good and bad Pettubers. Someone had asked about our opinion on Dan, and the general consensus was "eh, he seems okay, I guess". A member of my server had joined his and did some digging, though, and found out that oh god, oh no, he's not okay at all for the reasons stated above. A few of us then joined his server to check it out for ourselves. Fans of Dan found my server and told him about it. Dan tagged a few members that had joined from my server, asked them why they hate him or something, said that us haters are "responsible for a majority of his mental issues" and why his animal care sucks, etc etc. Afro called me a waste of breath lol, one of his fans called us all c*nts, someone wanted to raid my server, it was a whole situation. Keep in mind that none of us really talked in his server at all before this witch hunt. Afro dm'd me and the other members that he kept pinging beforehand and basically asked if we have any questions for him and that he's scared that I will make a video because he is so transparent with his husbandry and mistakes.
My response to that is and was "if you're so transparent then you have nothing to be worried about since everyone will already know about your fuck ups".

Since a lot of people seem to think I've never owned a pet in my life; I do have first hand experience with many animals (aquatics especially but also small mammals and some reptiles) and have researched others I don't own (yet) extensively. I also talk to people that do own the pets I am going to be talking about to fact check and am active in forums full of knowledgable people. It's just that, unlike some people, I don't own 50 different pets, nor am I a vet tech, and I also haven't worked in a chain pet store for a few months. If you see me include Google care sheets it's because, if I didn't, people would say I'm even more full of crap than they already do. I try to affirm every statement I say with some kind of proof which is why you see me include care sheets, wikipedia entries etc in my videos.
If I do make a mistake and end up saying something wrong please tell me so and I will remember in the future.
I finally checked out CatchEmAllFishing for the first time and... I legit wanna cry. Those poor fish. How is his channel even allowed on Youtube? He's literally just abusing fish for fun and views. What a sick person. Researching my video on him is going to be heartbreaking :(
