This evening I attempted to upload The Last Man on Earth (1964) starring Vincent Price however the upload was removed for a "Terms of Service Violation" which is odd because the full movie is freely available to watch elsewhere on YouTube. This platform's inability to offer more than a cursory summation of why particular uploads are removed continues to baffle me. It is a riddle wrapped in an enigma inside a Sphynx.

Good evening, fellow ghouls. I have attempted to upload the 4-episode 1979 TV series known as Quatermass in the UK, but as Quatermass IV or Quatermass The Conclusion elsewhere. Unfortunately, due to YouTube's labyrinthine copyright policies, episodes 1 & 2 were denied whereas episodes 3 & 4 were permitted. This is a shame because those completely unfamiliar with the premise and stage-setting of this brilliant TV series will be largely unable to frame the climactic two episodes through to the story's conclusion. Nonetheless, I have left the final two episodes up in the expectation that many of you will still derive some pleasure from the late Sir John Mill's excellent portrayal of the beleaguered British scientist, Bernard Quatermass. I am also acutely aware that some will dump this series into the straight science fiction category rather than "horror" but, again, I have included it as in my view at least the Quatermass series of films and TV shows straddle that line between sci-fi and horror, notwithstanding the fact that Quatermass himself is a uniquely British creation. Enjoy! The premise of the 1979 series, not to mention the crushing sense of doom and oppression which comes across, is also somewhat horrifying if you ask me.

Addendum to yesterday's post. YouTube seems to have uploaded my Hammer House of Horror video episodes in 720 resolution even though I swear I have the originals in 1080 resolution. Oh well, never mind. I will leave the "HD" designation for the time being. Please enjoy the videos. I watched the last 7 in the series myself last night. Loved Suzanne Daniel in Carpathian Eagle (with an exceptionally young and un-James Bond-like Pierce Brosnan in a bit part! Spoiler alert: he gets bumped off after a minute of onscreen time).

I've some news for you dear followers. I will shortly be uploading the complete 13 episodes of that wonderful 1980 compendium TV series, Hammer House of Horror! The series starred many legendary British film & TV actors such as Peter Cushing, Denholm Elliot, Diana Dors, and, notably, a very young Brian Cox, and featured some of the best television script writing, for my money at least, from that whole 80s thriller millieu.
Some of you may by now have noticed several faltering attempts to get this content up on 'Classic British Horror Films' only to see them disappear from the channel straight afterwards. That's due to the fact that this is very much a learning process for me and I discovered that I was uploading in the wrong format for YouTube (MKV files instead of the MP4 files which YouTube prefers). Consequently, the files that I uploaded were not being rendered into the beautiful 1080 resolution which I had planned for you dear followers. I'm happy to say that I've been hard at work converting these episodes into the required format as well as cleaning them up by deleting unwanted Russian audio which was also getting in the way of the lovely English speech of the characters!
The uploading will be done this evening god willing, and I'll be able to present you with all 13 episodes of this classic British series shortly. The photo below is of course Peter Cushing in that most bone-chilling of episodes, The Silent Scream, which scared the living sh*t out of me as a wee laddie. Enjoy!

I apologise to my followers for the hiatus in uploading classic British horror films. Unfortunately this has been due to the restrictive nature of BoobTube copyright restrictions which have prevented me from uploading many great British horror films which are freely shared without copyright restrictions by other users. I basically ran out of shareable films to put out there to you as almost every film I tried uploading was being stopped. And yet you search for those titles and there they are already up on BoobTube. Go figure! Keep your subscription though as I may get round to uploading fresh movies at some future date. Thank you for your interest in my channel. Here’s a photo of Peter Cushing!
