So I beat Trails through Daybreak, really damn good start to the Calvard arc, I adored the cast, the story while not my fav was really high quality. And the general atmosphere of the Calvard republic is just very damn cozy (tho I prefer erebonia, at least for now it's still only 1 game into the arc I imagine I'll be super attached to Calvard by the end of it) Van is an insanely fun protagonist, with alot of underlying trauma and depth to him. Been since sky third that we've had the last adult protagonist so it was a breath of fresh air. And his interpersonal relationship with both Elaine and the rest of the group was very fun. Seeing the group gradually come to care about each other as the game went on was really great. The game in general had a road trip vibe to it I dug. Overall really good follow up to reverie and excited to see the rest of the arc. It's probably my third favorite trails game so far (still prefer third and cs4, but it's definitely number 3) as usual my final rating is an 8.9/10

Yaknow, P1 could very well pass for a niche indie game if released today, first person horror jrpg with dynamic audio based on depression with dreamlike oppressive atmosphere and music that gradually sounds less like music the further into the game you are? Very much an indie jrpg you'd see today
