I started this YouTube channel so that friends and strangers alike might partake with me in various projects using photography and video to write and think about the movies. Since then, I have also put together a few videos about my collections of ephemera, mainly film stills, postcards, and luggage labels. My channel name, Barthesian, refers to my admiration for the writings of French theorist Roland Barthes.
