Apparently there’s an issue with ReBAR with the Nvidia driver. Not sure if it’s a bug or something intentional by Nvidia, but JayzTwoCents made a video explaining the whole situation. Even if you’ve already enabled ReBAR in your BIOS and GPU-Z shows it as active, the Nvidia driver might still be disabling it in practice. You’ll need to force it ON globally or enable it for specific games using Nvidia Profile Inspector.
My suggestion is to first test the game you want to play without turning it on, then try again with it enabled to see if it’s stable or gives any performance gains. Nvidia purposely disables ReBAR for some games by default since it can sometimes cause crashes or instability.
I did a quick test in RDR2 and definitely noticed an improvement, especially in the 1% lows.
Here’s the video by JayzTwoCents which is worth watching to understand more about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-ggq...
And here’s an image of my RDR2 4K test: ibb.co/whD8bgF0
P/S: Enable at your own risk. I’m not responsible if anything goes wrong with your system.
