"Dogoda" in Slavic mythology is God of the West wind, which brought pleasant weather and gentle spring breezes. It's associated with calm, favorable weather for seasonal transitions and loved for its peaceful and nurturing nature. This is the feeling I tried to recreate with music, using the 72-strings persian santur instrument as the backbone for the track.
The world feels more divided every day, with news and politics telling us who to fear or blame. But if you really want to know a place, listen to its real music โ not the fabricated industry pop, but the real sound people live with, traditional music, underground music...
When you do, you notice weโre not that different at all.
We fall in love. We lose people. We dance. We argue. We laugh. We cry. We make music because life is heavy โ and also beautiful.

Balkan Dub System is a small attempt to connect (Middle)East and West through sound, nothing more.
The Balkans were once called the โpowder kegโ of Europe โ a place where major conflicts like WWI began. Many people today, especially in the West, have never experienced war. I have. I was a kid during the 90s when Yugoslavia fell apart. And trust me โ you never forget the sound of a bomb hitting 50 meters from you and realising afterwards that shrapnels had ripped through the armchair I was sitting in just 10 minutes earlier.
What shocks me today is how casually people online take โcheerleaderโ positions during current wars โ in Ukraine, Palestine, Sudan, Myanmar, Nigeriaโฆ While countries pour money into weapons, test nukes again, and brag about missiles, some still call for more bloodshed as if war is a game.
Itโs ๐ก๐ข๐ง. War is ๐ก๐ข๐ง fun. War is ๐ก๐ข๐ง entertainment. When the rich start wars, itโs the poor who die.
