We’re Neve and Randy Houstin — a husband-and-wife team currently working to protect coral reefs in French Polynesia through hands-on Crown of Thorns Starfish (Taramea) management.

Neve first encountered a Crown of Thorns Starfish in Panama in 2019. After completing her Bachelor’s in Marine Resource Management, she knew she needed to help find solutions for the ocean — and that’s when this project began.

Today, under HoustinSolution, we dive daily to remove COTS in French Polynesia — protecting coral reefs that are too wild, too rare, and too important to lose. From South Florida to the South Pacific, our mission is to give reefs a fighting chance.
