Alva Noto
Carsten Nicolai is a German artist, musician and label owner. Under his Alva Noto alias he released extensively on his NOTON imprint featuring collaborations with Ryuichi Sakamoto, Ryoji Ikeda, Blixa Bargeld, and Mika Vainio, among others. Nicolai toured as Alva Noto and exhibited works through Europe, Asia, South America, and the US. His collaborative score with Ryuichi Sakamoto for Alejandro González Iñárritu's 'The Revenant' was nominated for a Golden Globe, BAFTA, Grammy, and Critics Choice Award.
