Yo, hope everyone's doing alright!

Due to work, social stuff and, to be honest, not a small amount of burnout, the Hatsu Levels Ranked: SPECIALIZATION vid will be delayed by a solid 3-4 days, minimum.

As soon as it's done, I'll be sure to upload it publicly for everyone instead of releasing it for members first, due to the delay.

As stated above, I've really been feeling burnt out the past few weeks and a break is due. As such, I'll get out the Specialization vid, along with another entry in the "How to Counter" series by mid October. I'll then take a few weeks off to reread the Succession War Arc in preparation to the manga returning (which I'm HOPING will happen before the year's end).

I'll then come back with either a manga-related video or a new series I've been thinking about for a long time now.

There's also a JJK critique I've wanted to do for years now and with the 3rd season on the horizon, this may be the best time for it, but more on that at a later date.

The video will be made public and available for everyone on September 20th.

I'm planning on having the channel's members vote on which character will be covered next as a part of this series, so if you're interested and able feel free to check the membership out.

Going forward, I'll be making a shorter video each month in a new "How to Counter" series, in which I'll focus on how to counter one character at a time. I can't keep doing 25+ minute videos each time, it's been way too stressful.

Discussion Topic: THE PHANTOM TROUPE

In light of having just finished the "How to Defeat Every Phantom Troupe Member" series, I'd like to hear you takes on the Troupe. Specifically:

1. Who's your favorite Spider and why?
My answer: Machi and Nobunaga, but I'd like to save my reasons why for a future video, sorry.

2. Which Spiders are you most looking towards seeing fight/interact with Hisoka (or maybe just fight/do stuff in general)?
My answer: like everyone, I'm looking forward to a Hisoka vs Chrollo rematch, but in general, I'd like to see what he'd do should he ever encounter any two (combat-focused) Spiders at once.

3. Which Spiders do you believe would be the most difficult for Hisoka to take on in a 1v1 (not counting Chrollo)?
My answer: Franklin. Dude doesn't strike me like the type of guy to do stupid stuff on a whim and was the voice of reason in York New on multiple occasions. If he's going alone, it's because he thinks it's the best way to go about it.

4. In case of Chrollo's demise, who'd be the best choice to take his place as the leader?
My answer: Probably Franklin, for the same reasons as stated above. He may not have Chrollo's acumen for strategy, but I think he'd be the most likely to proactively seek out advice and opt for the most optimal path forward.

Discussion Topic: DO SPECIALISTS HAVE A 100% AFFINITY FOR ALL CATEGORIES?

Hey, I haven't discussed it in quite a while, give me a break.

So, as most of you know, I for years stood by the view that Specialists do not have a regular proficiency distribution such as the other categories (i.e. 1x100%, 2x80%, 2x60%, 1x40%), instead believing that either:

A) Each individual Specialist had a totally different distribution unique to them, with those that steal the abilities of others, such as Chrollo, having a near 100% proficiency in all categories;

B) Specialists were effectively outside the system proper, and came pre-wired with a Hatsu which they more "awakened" rather than "developed". As such, everything they'd do would fall under the categorical purview of Specialization (which I really wasn't a fan of);

Now, EVEN if it ended being the case that they had a 100% in ALL categories, them "awakening" a Hatsu, would have gone a long way towards "balanced them out", since having a pre-ordained Hatsu to which only relatively superficial changes could be made could serve as a decent limitation in most cases.

HOWEVER, while my hunch was right, my conclusion was off, as Togashi decided to go full throttle with it, turning "Specialists" into "Specials" (queue JJK S2 op2).

Morena clearly and outright stated (in my mind at least) that Specialists BOTH have a TOTAL affinity for all categories AND heavily implied that they can freely develop an ability of their choosing (this is more of an implication, not a statement, since she needs Bork to develop a SPECIFIC ability, meaning that it can't be pre-wired).

She even said that Specialization's lack of innate weaknesses can be a "detriment" in its own right, since some Specialists don't realize just how special they are and simply develop an ability inherent to another category, believing they're an innate user of it, with neither them nor their peers being none the wiser.

SO, my questions are:

1) If you support the interpretation of Specialists having a 100% affinity for all categories, what do you think of it?

2) If you don't think that's what Morena is saying, what's your interpretation of what Morena meant?
