Radiant Baby, aka Félix Mongeon, comes from the Montreal music scene. He discovered and learned music composition on his own. After a few electronic instrumental sets, he decided to layer his compositions with his own vocals to express his energy on stage and to communicate with the audience. Radiant Baby played several shows on Montreal stages, shortly after which he released his first EP It’s My Party (2017), LP Restless (2019), followed by Pantomime (2021) all published on Lisbon Lux Records.
On new LP Porcelaine (2024), Radiant Baby carries on his work on vulnerability. The electro-pop sounds of previous opuses give way to crisp guitars, expanding the musical range to include energetic, fast-paced post-punk alongside languorous, ethereal funk. He draws inspiration from 1970s influences, evoking artists such as Bowie, Blondie, Suicide, Pulp, and Serge Gainsbourg, while also integrating contemporary references from indie music such as Connan Mockasin, Tame Impala, and MGMT.
