Hands down, my favourite part of HEMA was when everyone was criticizing boob armour for being impractical and causing harm to the user.
And then for rapier protection, women would wear chest protectors that were basically boob armour and complain it hurt. Then they switched to flat chested protectors and never complained again.
People have asked the age old question: blunt or feder?
And the answer is feder. A blunt isn't really that good, it'll get you high as hell but that's going to effect your performance when you have to spar. Always use a feder.
I had the opportunity to read Russ Mitchell's book on Hungarian sabre and, overall, I was quite disappointed:
At no point did it tell you how to teach your sabre to speak Hungarian; all I got was some weird moves and constant mentions of some dude called Fokos (he must be Hungarian or something, I still don't know who Fokos is to this day). Still, my sabre continues to struggle learning foreign languages.
Overall, my disappointment is immeasurable and now my day is ruined: 2/10.

This is an announcement: As part of being more inclusive, we have formed the Categorisation for the Liberation of Iterant Tempos, or simply C.L.I.T.
The C.L.I.T. is an offshoot of the Liberation of Armizare Before Earning Armizare, or L.A.B.E.A.
Now, a lot of people have asked, "how will this put pressure on the C.L.I.T.?" And that's a good point, I mean you don't want to rub the C.L.I.T. the wrong way. But I think adding a sufficient amount of pressure will result in the satisfaction of all parties involved.
