For anyone interesting in how I animated my latest pixel art showcase - bows - I did so by rigging the pixel art in Unity & keyframing the bones. This enabled me to reuse an animation across three of the four sprites due to them all sharing nearly identical rigs. Saved a lot of time compred to a frame-by-frame approach but might not be suitable in all cases. DoTween was used for the punchy extra animation details though!
