So HBO Max says they're dropping a new LANTERNS video at 11am. Earlier they dropped a new The Pitt video and it was the opening 1.5 minutes of the new season. Nothing earth shattering, but still cool. They said they'd drop a new video of Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms, and they release a short scene. Nothing earth shattering, but it was cool. Then it comes time to drop that LANTERNS video... and it's NOTHING. Just the exact same footage in the "Coming In 2026" video they already droped. Fuck you HBO. Why advertise you're dropping a new video, if it's just the same shit you already showed us? JUST SAY NOTHING. Again, Fuck you.
Huge thank you to everyone who came out to our little Movie Meet-Up last night in Burbank. Such a fun time being back in my old stomping grounds where AMC Movie News got started.
The best thing movies remind me of all the time is that all of us have the power to make someone else feel valuable and that they have worth. We can all make someone feel that way. So this weekend, give someone a kind work, say “good job”, hold the door for someone, give a compliment, take someone out for lunch, make a phone call… it doesn’t take much.
MOVIE MEET-UP ANNOUNCEMENT! Our Next Movie Meet-Up is going to be in the LA area at my old office, the AMC Burbank 16. It will be on Tuesday Dec 9th at the 7:10pm screening of Five Nights At Freddy's 2. If you want to come, just go buy a ticket to the show from the AMC website and we'll all watch the movie together and I'll hang out in front of the theater for an hour or so to meet folks and take pics if you want. See you then!
One of the great things about the Movie Meet-Ups we’ve been doing across the country is the chance to meet up with other guys in the space. Cris (@3cfilm) came out to our Dallas meet up and Sean Chandler came to our Austin Meet-Up and grabbed dinner with us beforehand.
At the Austin Movie Meet-Up last night at the Galaxy Theater, they had this image up on the screen as people walked in. I HAD NO IDEA they even knew we were coming or that they were doing this. THANK YOU GALAXY for making a little nobody feel special.
