Obedience and Diet
This portion of Scripture speaks to us about the laws of ritual purity in Israel.
Chapter 12 addresses postpartum purification: women are considered impure after childbirth, with different periods of purification for male (40 days) and female (80 days) children.
Chapters 13–14 detail tzara’at (often translated as leprosy): its diagnosis, isolation, purification, and the sacrifices required for reintegration.
Finally, Chapter 15 regulates impurity due to bodily discharges (semen, menstruation, illnesses), requiring bathing, sacrifices, and waiting periods to restore ritual purity and communion with Yehovah.

How Can We Be Light in Our Daily Lives?
Being a light doesn’t just mean preaching, but living in a way that reflects Yeshua:
👉 Show love and compassion: In a selfish world, acts of kindness can touch hearts and reveal the character of Yehovah.
👉 Maintain integrity: Refusing to give in to corruption and lies shows that we follow higher principles.
👉 Share the Word of God: Scripture calls us to bring the Gospel to all nations (Mark 16:15).
👉 Do not conform to evil: Romans 12:2 urges us not to conform to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind.
Final Reflection
I invite you to reflect on this: We live in times of moral and spiritual darkness, but Yehovah has called us to be light. No matter where we are or what circumstances we face, our lives should shine with the presence of the Messiah. Like the menorah in the Tabernacle, our light must shine with the Father’s light, illuminating our surroundings with love, truth, and faith.
Yeshua left us this great responsibility:
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

Today, April 28, 2025, at sunset (concluding the 29th day of the month of Aviv on the biblical Hebrew calendar), the sighting of the renewed moon (Rosh Chodesh) was confirmed in Israel by at least two reliable witnesses, without the use of binoculars or cameras.
This sighting meets the biblical criteria of Deuteronomy 16:1 and marks the beginning of the second month (also called Iyyar on the rabbinic calendar), officially starting from sunset on April 28 until sunset on April 29.

On the eighth day, Aaron and his sons present sacrifices before God according to Moses’ instructions, and the glory of Yehováh is revealed to the people with fire. However, Nadab and Abihu, Aaron’s sons, offer unauthorized fire and die because of it. Yehováh establishes rules for the priests, including abstaining from alcohol.
Then Yehováh lists in detail which animals He created as suitable for human consumption and also gives the list of unclean animals, teaching Israel to distinguish between the clean and the unclean as part of their calling to holiness.

This year (2025) coincided with the week of Matzot (Unleavened Bread), the Feast established by our Father, Yehovah. Aside from the profession of faith of those around us, these are days in which, in one way or another, people are confronted with the reason for this time: the trial carried out by the religious elites of the time against Yeshua (Jesus), and his subsequent execution on the stake by the hands of the Romans. Three days and three nights later, he would be resurrected.
