*THE LEGEND OF THE CORYDONLEO*

*We all know how stawaki carnival’s operations came to a close. Drowning kids, malfunctioning rides, and of course, the dead body that they found inside the on the fateful day of closing, but, due to some intresting reports and blurry images, some people believe that wasn’t the full story…*

*The Corydonleo is an urban creature, that is often described by the locals near the carnival, as a sea-lion like creature that was ABNORMALLY large, reportedly over 20 Feet in Length. Its body is reported as almost entirely a pale white with green spots that were UNNATURALLY Bright and Vibrant. apart from the face, which had almost black circles around its supposedly beaming yellow eyes, and having an oddly colored Red nose, almost like it was supposed to look like a clown. The name “Corydonleo” most likely came from the Latin terms “Corydon” and “Leo” which in in English are Clown and Lion respectively.*

*Believers of the legend say its tendencies were to lure kids into the water surrounding the carnival by replicating the sounds of horns and bells, making children, especially younger ones, wander into the water thinking there was potentially a toy or something fun waiting for them. When the children went out far enough into the water, The Corydonleo would pull them underwater by their ankles, too quick for their screams to be heard. Believers think the Corydonleo was the explanation for all of the bodies found in the water leading up to the closing, as some allegedly had bite marks found during their autopsy. Others said it was just Fish nibbling on the decomposing body, others think that it was a monster sea lion.*

*Now, the theory of the Corydonleo only began a few days after the closing of the carnival. After finally the dead body out of the water, 32 year old paramedic ,John Ruiz, Began to paddle the now withered away body of the victim back to shore. However, on the way back, something caught his eye. Right underneath the water slide, just barely underneath the surface of the water, he saw what I described earlier. The long pale body, the bright green spots, and that clown like face. Ruiz immediately went to pull out his camera, but the creature had already turned away from the boat and began to swim away. By the time he got the camera out and snapped a picture, only the end of the tail was caught in the top left of the frame. When he got back to shore, his rescue team blew off his concern. “It was probably just a slightly paler sea lion” most of them said, giving it no thought. However, as he shared his story with the Locals, especially the families of the drowned people, some of them started to connect the dots and pin the Corydonleo to the events that lead them to lose their loved one.*

*At the end of the day, We’ll never truly know if the Corydonleo was real. Most of the first believers were families of the lost people, so it’s easy to say that it could’ve just been a way to cope with what was otherwise a head scratching situation, but some also say that they can hear a faint honk or jingle when driving near the waters the carnival is located in. So, was the legend of the Corydonleo just a few broken people hanging onto a tale to help grieve, or was this something more than just legend… I’ll let you be the judge of that…*

RANKING DISVENTURE CAMP CONTESTANTS: Day 1 of 46

46th: Ivy

Genuinely might be the worst character I’ve seen in any total drama like show ever 😭. She pisses me off on so many levels. Shes so arrogant, super whiny, and most of her scenes made me want to throw something at the wall. Like the one scene she had with Jade in ep 6 was so anger inducing. Like the fact that she didn’t believe there was a SINGLE issue with that she was saying 💀

Now I know there’s a lot of REALLY good disventure camp characters who share those qualities, but I think my biggest issue with Ivy is that the WRITERS TRY AND MAKE YOU ROOT FOR HER 😭. Like how are you gonna make her so insufferable, and then try and make us feel bad for her in the next scene? It felt like the writers were trying to force us into liking Ivy, and that’s what the worst part about her was Imo

Overall, I’m glad she went before merge. If I had to deal with her any longer I would’ve had an aneurysm 😭

[HEROS CHALLENGE SUBMISSION]

Emma: Hannah Girly, We’re done! Come take a look at our shelter!

Exterior: The base of our structure was built on spruce trees, which were then spray painted a very bright yellow to match our team color! This formed this newly painted wood into a shape that resembles an H, for hero of course! The door to our shelter is white with a black doorframe, and has our team logo in the center of it! Finally, for a little extra flair, we placed 2 A’s made out of the Gold Zee found on top of both sides of the H, standing for our team name “Angelic Albatross”

Interior: In the middle of the shelter, we have a big round table that everyone can fit at, perfect for all team discussions and matters! It kinda makes it feel like we’re the justice league, ready to crack down on those villains! Finally, our beds are built with a solid gold frame, once again from Zee’s mining trip!

Well, that’s our shelter! Hope you enjoyed walking through it as much as we did creating it!

[ the lights in the room flicker on to a table which has a plethora of ingredients Derek waits excitedly for his chef to come out. He sees Tino reveal himself to be his cook, but he already assumed that would be the case.]

Tino: what is up Derek! I thought it’d be dope to cook right in front of you so you can truly appreciate what you’re eating!

Now, based off your personality, I know your a pretty energetic dude who hates when life boring and bland. That’s why I’m making you something SPICY!

I’ll be making you a healthy, protein loaded, FLAMING HOT barbecue chicken bacon pizza!

For this dish, you’ll need:

- Gluten Free Pizza Dough 🍕

- Shredded Chicken 🐓

- Red Onions 🧅

-Chipotle Barbecue sauce🔥

- Mozzarella Cheese 🧀

-Bacon Slices 🥓

-Jalapeño Peppers 🌶️

We’ll Start by rolling out the dough, obviously. not only make sure that it’s nice and thin, but also that there’s NO air bubbles because nobody likes those crust bubbles. Yuck!

Next, we’re going to spread on our barbecue sauce. Now, you might be saying “barbecue sauce isn’t all that spicy” and you’d be right… IF IT WASN’T CHIPOTLE BARBECUE SAUCE! It’s gonna be like a spicy tsunami wave rolled in and completely destroyed the city of your taste buds!

Well now prepare our toppings! Grate your block of mozzarella, Chop up your bacon strips, and dice up your red onions and jalapeños!

It’s now time to add the toppings. Go in this order for the best experience. Add the mozzarella, then the shredded chicken, followed by the bacon, red onions, and then the jalapeños!

Now that we have our pizza set up now, it’s time to bake!

[Tino lifted up the pizza and placed into the over near him. After about 15 minutes on 350*, it was ready! Tino carefully took it out of the oven and placed it on Derek’s table]

And finally, we’ll cut the pizza up into… quarters?

I genuinely hope we’re good. Just know that the things you perceived as negative or hurtful was just me voicing my opinion. ‪@Dasoupmaster‬ said it himself. I’m the most blunt and honest person in the entire community. I tried keeping my comments off of YouTube and away from you to protect your feelings but you just kept pushing for an answer, and an answer I gave you. All I was trying to do was trying to help you improve as a player and improve your seasons. Just learn to take criticism a little better OR use it as motivation to prove me wrong. I wish nothing but the best for ya dude.

MATERIALS FOR THE SHELTER:

- Sheet metal
-Spruce wood
- pieces of a log flume ride
- Rock Wall
-Hay

Courtney: Alright scary girl, come take a look around!

When you first arrive, you’ll see the rock wall that is used to get into our shelter. It helps keep out animals AND it keeps us active!

As for what the shelter is made out of, we used spare spruce wood and metal around the camp! We used the sheet metal for our windows and the wood for our foundation, though it is quite mossy….

As for comfort… well we couldn’t find much of that here at the carnival, but we did find a bit of Hay in what looked to be an abandoned petting zoo here at the carnival, so we used that to hopeful provide a little bit of cushion while we sleep.

Now, the big question, how is this carnival themed. Well, I figured that since our team emblem is water themed, so should our shelter! And there’s no water-based carnival attraction quite like the log flume! Now, do you expect someone as unathletic as Cameron to be able to scale back down the rock wall when he’s ready to get out? Absolutely not! So, after ripping apart the abandoned log flume attraction, and also using water from the lake that we built our shelter on… we’ve incorporated it into our set up! When you wish to leave the shelter, get in the log flume at the edge of the shelter and push yourself down the ramp! It’s efficient, and fun! After you step out at the bottom, there will be a conveyor belt on the other side to take the flume back up so it can be used again!

Finally, we took the sign from the entrance of the log flume and put it atop our shelter, just for the aesthetic!
