Daily Haiku: Life in 17 syllables #575words

Welcome to #575words

A sacred pause.
A whisper of truth.
A breath you didn’t know you needed...

a writer's sanctuary.

I’m Elizabeth, a lifelong believer raised in the rhythm of church pews and Sunday prayers. Though I no longer attend church, the foundation of faith laid by my those who came before me still lives in me and flows through every poem I write.

Here, I share haikus about daily life. Simple, 17-syllable reflections on ordinary moments, whispered prayers, quiet truths, and lessons only stillness can teach. Some are rooted in scripture. Others are shaped by sunlight, silence, or memory. All are invitations to slow down and see what’s holy in the everyday.

This is not a sermon, not a performance—just a sacred breath and a few honest words.
If that’s what you’ve been needing, welcome home.
