That empty piano, under a falling sun, is the piano that Yanni left after his 3 years in mysterious absence.
I'm really sad for not knowing anything about Yanni and his musicians for so long, they are no longer making music.
The beginning of the end occurred in 2016 when Víctor Espínola and James Mattos left the band after the big concert in Egypt, from then the band continued to lose members, Benedikt, Lauren, Lisa, Mary, and Dana; and Yanni offered increasingly minimalist concerts, his tours ended in 2020 with the arrival of the pandemic, his last publications on social networks were in 2021, and since then the lives of Yanni and his band have remained completely anonymous.
Some friends of mine are hoping that he will soon return and surprise us with a new album and new concerts, but realistically, I doubt that this will happen, time has passed very quickly and our Yanni has aged, hardly he is fit for a new world tour with all the stress that entails, the same for Charlie, Ming, Samvel...
Anyway, today, November 14, Yanni is turning 69, I only wish him peace and happiness, and if his wish is to remain hidden from the public eye for the rest of his days, then I will respect that decision. Happy 69th anniversary ‪@Yanni‬ wherever you are.

Ese piano vacío, bajo un sol que cae, es el piano que a dejado Yanni tras sus 3 años en misteriosa ausencia.
Estoy realmente triste por no saber nada de Yanni y sus músicos desde hace tanto tiempo, ellos ya no están haciendo música.
El principio del fin ocurrió en 2016 cuando Víctor Espínola y James Mattos abandonaron la banda luego del gran concierto en Egipto, de ahí en adelante la banda siguió perdiendo miembros, Benedikt, Lauren, Lisa, Mary, y Dana; y Yanni ofrecía conciertos cada vez mas minimalistas, sus giras terminaron en 2020 con la llegada de la pandemia, sus ultimas publicaciones en redes sociales fueron en 2021, y desde entonces las vidas de Yanni y su banda se han mantenido en completo anonimato.
Algunos amigos míos tienen la esperanza de que pronto él regrese y nos sorprenda con un nuevo disco y nuevos conciertos, pero siendo realistas, dudo que esto ocurra, el tiempo a pasado muy rápido y nuestro Yanni envejeció, difícilmente está en disposición para una nueva gira mundial con todo el estrés que eso conlleva, lo mismo para Charlie, Ming, Samvel...
Como sea, hoy 14 de noviembre Yanni está cumpliendo 69 años, yo solo le deseo paz y felicidad, y si su voluntad es permanecer el resto de sus días desaparecido del ojo publico, pues respetaré esa decisión. Feliz 69 aniversario‪@Yanni‬ donde sea que te encuentres
