Real estate is a proven wealth builder no doubt. But it can also destroy wealth if you’re not strategic, calculative, and forward-thinking.
You can’t just buy any property or jump into any real estate investment. You need proper due diligence: ask the right questions, verify documents, study the location, and understand the long-term value. Most importantly, work with professional realtors who genuinely have your interests at heart.
At the same time, don’t try to be overly “wise” by avoiding professional fees. A good property consultant doesn’t cost you money they help you avoid costly mistakes.
In real estate, smart decisions build wealth; careless ones erase it

I attended the 2026 Real Estate Outlook, and it was truly insightful. It was Anchored by Wemabod Limited

Major industry stakeholders were present, including the former Vice President of Nigeria, who delivered a powerful keynote.

One key lesson stood out clearly:
Inclusive housing cannot happen without infrastructure.

Access roads, power, water, transportation, and social amenities must come first or move alongside housing development. Without these, affordability, livability, and long-term value remain a challenge.

This conversation reinforces the fact that solving Nigeria’s housing gap is not just about building houses, but about planning communities

I didn’t start with connections. I didn’t start with capital.
I started with courage.

At 26, I stepped into real estate with nothing but belief, consistency, and the decision to begin. No perfect plan. No safety net. Just faith and action.

Today, I’m 32, and I am building, a growing real estate firm driven by vision, discipline, and purpose.

To every realtor, broker, and agent reading this:
Your current chapter is not your final story. Every call you make, every showing you attend, and every client you serve is shaping the future you are working toward.

Don’t despise small beginnings. Stay committed. Stay ethical. Keep showing up.
Leverage the platforms you have. Use social media. Use LinkedIn. Use every digital space to build your credibility, your network, and your personal brand.

Exposure creates opportunity, but consistency turns opportunity into results.
And above all, include God in what you do. Skill opens doors, but God gives direction, favour, and staying power. When He is involved, your work carries impact beyond money.

If you have started, you are already ahead of those still waiting for “perfect conditions.”

Merry Christmas to every real estate professional out there, may this season bring you peace, growth, and bigger testimonies ahead. 🎄✨

20 years ago, many Lagos residents had the chance to buy land in Lekki Phase 1 but didn’t,
Today ,they look back with regret. The same story is unfolding now in fast-rising areas like Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, and Ikorodu.

Back then, the excuse was Lekki is a flooded area.
Today, the excuse is Epe and Ikorodu are still bushy.
But here’s the truth: every prime location you admire in Lagos today was once bushy. The best time to buy land is before development catches up and prices skyrocket.

The most important thing you need to make a smart real estate decision is authenticity:
Does the land truly exist?
Does it have a valid title?
Are the documents genuine?
Is the environment promising for growth and development?

If the answers are yes, then you’re looking at an opportunity that will multiply in value.

Now, l will emphasize about Ikorodu.
Investors are moving into Ikorodu heavily because of its massive infrastructure linkages especially the new roads connecting Ikorodu directly to Epe, the proposed 4th Mainland Bridge, the expanded Ikorodu Road, the BRT lane, and the new Mile 12 market.

Combine this with the steady migration of Lagosians looking for affordable housing and proximity to schools, industries, and business hubs, and you see why Ikorodu is becoming a hot investment spot.

Commercial Break:
👉 For Sale: 2 Acres of Dry Land (Fenced & Gated) at Emuren, Ikorodu (along Imota Road):

Price: ₦3M per plot | ₦18M per acre | ₦36M for 2 acres

Location Advantages:
• 25 min drive to Ikorodu Garage
• 5 min drive to Adron Homes Park Town Garden
• 10 min drive to Caleb University
• 20 min drive to Lagos State Polytechnic
• 15 min drive to Ikorodu North Local Government
Features:
• Free from government acquisition
• Family receipt, land receipt, and registered survey available
• Stable electricity and a good environment
• Completely free from omo onile issues
Close Future Benefits:
• Expanded Ikorodu Road
• 4th Mainland Bridge
• BRT corridor
• New Mile 12 market

This is a property you can buy today with peace of mind and watch its value rise steadily as Lagos keeps expanding. Don’t repeat the Lekki mistake

Epe,Ibeju-Lekki,ikorodu is the next frontier

The fastest way to know land that will appreciate fast is to watch government projects.

New road? 🚧
Airport construction? ✈️
University? 🎓
Free trade zone? 🏭

Once government enters an area, development follows. And once development comes, land prices shoot up.
That’s how smart investors move before the crowd.

I’m Onisemo Adewunmi, your Lagos Realtor, and my goal is to help you turn land into lasting wealth.
Happy new week 😁

The Importance of Proper Documentation, Genuine and Original Documents in Real Estate.

When investing in property, particularly in a vibrant and growing market like Nigeria, one of the most critical steps is ensuring that all documentation is genuine and original.

Proper documentation provides legal proof of ownership, confirms the title's authenticity, and safeguards your investment against future disputes or legal complications. Genuine documents, such as Certificates of Occupancy (C of O), survey plans, and title deeds, are essential to verify that the land or property is legally yours and not subject to government acquisition, litigations, or claims from other parties.

Ensuring these documents are authentic and unaltered is vital in protecting your interests and avoiding costly errors that can lead to loss of both money and peace of mind.

While location and price are powerful considerations in property buying, they should go hand in hand with diligent verification of the legal framework surrounding the land or property. A well-priced property in a prime location is valuable, but without proper legal backing, it risks losing its worth.Partnering with professionals for thorough verification processes ensures that your investment is solid, secure, and truly worth its value
