Using her voice, harmonium and synthesizers, Varvara Pavlovna creates dark acoustic ballads, frank electronic compositions and sensual songs. Her music is characterized by a minimalist, dark sound, strict rhythms and thick synthesizers, gothic organ and characteristic deep, cold vocals. Each of her songs is a theatrical séance, filled with literary references to Pamuk, Pavic and Baudelaire.
