If you haven't seen the news, the arbitrator overturned my termination. I've been reinstated with back pay and start back today. I'm reporting to the academy so I can catch up on any training I missed, qualify with my firearms and update my defensive tactics certification. In other news, now that I am once again employed by the Division of Police, the channel has been demonetized. If you were a channel member, you might have noticed. I'll release a video about all this as soon as I can, but it might take a moment. Thank you all for your support!

When I was working patrol, my morning tradition was to grab a cup of coffee and go for a walk in the neighborhood I patrolled. At first, people would see me walking down their street and think something was wrong. When I told them I was just out for a walk, they would always smile. People look at Cop Cars the way they look at sharks. Even if you like them, there's always a little bit of fear. But an Officer walking through your neighborhood on foot is a person and a member of your community. This is how I served the residents of the Hilltop and I look forward to picking up where I left off. The video I released on YouTube today is from one of those walks where I was approached by a homeless man on his way to breakfast. (the map is the actual GPS trace from my watch).

Which video should I release tomorrow (October 8th)? The Open carry video is from an old video but its about 40 minutes long and shows a lot of stuff that hasn't been seen (some people have asked for longer videos). The other is a stolen car with a foot pursuit, it's only about 10 minutes.
