Addendum to my previius community post. I want to take a moment to shout out two guys on YouTube who give me the motivation and joy to keep going with this hobby that I love.
@EasternDilimpiconempire4ever is awesome. This dude always has something funny and kind to say about my videos. And his videos are good, too. Thank you for stickin with me, and may the GREAT EASTERN DILIMPICON EMPIRE prevail!!!
@CharlieA623Official is awesome too. This man has been my best (human 🤣) friend for 4 years and it's great. He's a stand-up guy through and through! We've made great stuff together, and that includes MUCH of the stuff coming up on my channel in the coming months. Bro's a beast when it comes to making Uncle Wilson skits, and I love him like a brother. 🤝
Hey all. Oreo, my dog, friend, and star of many videos on this channel, passed away in June of this year. We miss him greatly, but we know he's in a better place now. What does this mean for the channel? At first I wasn't sure. I wrestled with many ideas of how to move forward, but I've come to the decision that I'm going to use old footage of him, along with the pngs I already have been using, to include the character in future skits. Ultimately, the character is very different from the real dog, as you probably figured out when he talked and flied around, lol. So you can still expect to see this lovable goober in videos from time to time. It will be less often, but I promise he will be around for the forseeable future.
Another thing: To the people who have watched my videos and left a like or comment, even just once, thank you. I may not have a bunch of views, and merch or anything like that, but I know that when I post a video, it's probably going to make someone smile. And that helps me keep going, especially in tough times like the passing of my best friend, Oreo. God bless you.
Marvel's First Family stuns with the sincerity and impeccable beauty of Invisible Woman. Emotional beats hit with the power of The Thing. Plot and story progress with the intelligence and flexibility of Mr. Fantastic. It bursts forth with the Passion and hilarity of The Human Torch!
There wasn't a single moment in this movie that felt weak. Tone, emotion, and presentation are all consistently on point. Somehow they managed to make a funny MCU movie without sabotaging any emotional moments with jokes. It only took about 13 years, lol! Seriously, though, the emotion and comedy in this film are both phenomenal. Please go watch it, if you can and have any interest. Especially go watch it if you're like me, a nerd who doesn't know much about the Four, but wants to give them a chance.
Someone who hasn't heard or seen anything about this movie, but has seen this team's other cinematic outings might ask, "is this better than the other ones?" Yes, in every single way.
Pedro Pascal really pulled it off! When I saw him announced as Reed Richards, I was baffled, but it actually works quite well! I initally thought he would just play some guy, without much character or effort in the performance, as many big-name actors unforrunately do nowadays. I will admit I am not well versed in the character, so I can't say how faithful he is to the comics. My main reason I say it works is because:
1. His performance is unique here. It is significantly different from his performance as Din Djarin and Max Lord, the two most notable performances of his that I have seen.
2. His performance is consistent with his characterization, and he accurately protrays his character going through a complete arc in this movie. What I mean by that, is that Reed responds to each situation in a way that feels natural for this version of the character. There are no moments in which he does something that he would never do for the sake of the plot. That unfortunately happens a lot in stories. I have certainly done that a few times. 😭 That is precisely why I commend everyone involved with this movie, from writers, to actors, to crew members and editors. It takes a skilled group of people to make such an exceptionally good movie that always stays true to itself and its story.
About the message, I've heard a lot of people sum it up as "love your family," which I think is accurate, but incomplete. I would also say another big part of the message is to trust in others. Everything in this movie relates in some way to loving family or trusting others, or even yourself. Another important message I noticed is that anyone can change a world for the better. This message is breifly stated directly by a news anchor, about the Fantastic Four. Notice I said "a world," instead of "the world," because Silver Surfer actually demonstrates that sometimes you can do something that doesn't necessarily help your world, but saves someone else's, when she pushes Galactus into the portal, saving Earth and Johnny. A good example of how this could work in real life is a random act of kindness that shows someone they are valued, which can sometimes make all the difference in someone's life (as shown beautifully in Thunderbolts) I think that all of these messages are great! I'm truly heartened to see mutliple major releases by Marvel and DC have solid messages. Some of their live-action film and TV releases in the last few years (or last ten years if you're the DCEU lmao), have been unfortunately vapid, and basically devoid of a helpful message. Thunderbolts, Superman, and especially the Fantastic Four: First Steps, have broken that mold, offering us nerds a truly Fantastic year of Superhero Films!
Edge of Darkness - In the midst of a desperate search and a devastating war, a lone Marine finds himself on the brink of insanity.

The Stinkbugs are about to launch a nuke and destroy the world. E.D., Fred, Eren, and Eugene will do whatever is necessary to stop them, but things are not going to go as planned. Tune in to see the epic final battle between Bravo Squad and the Stinkbugs!
