How do you send your child to school every day?

We as a society have accepted the social norm that parents go to work, kids go to school, we rush here to there and every where and if your kid is not in a million activities, what are you doing with your life?

Real quality time together has become occasional and the words slow and intentional are not a part of your vocabulary.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s easy to fill up your schedule as homeschoolers too, but the difference is whether you are doing those life things separate or together.

Homeschoolers don’t do it because it’s the easy way out, we do it because we believe it is right for our family.

I want as much as possible to do things together, to be on the same page of life, to build relationships and know how my child is doing mentally and physically all day long.

It doesn’t mean we don’t have alone time, separate activities, jobs or relationships outside of our household.

It just means we are closer, more aware of one another and are readily available to our children without a middle man controlling our daily lives.

I honestly (with respect) don’t know how, many parents continue to send their children to school in the same way many don’t understand how we homeschool.

It’s a welcomed discussion! 🤍

📝 Homeschool Handwriting course that teaches precursive and cursive! We love the videos because it gives your child the detailed visual encouragement they need to be able to execute. It also makes it more fun! 🤩

Lessons take around 5-10 minutes to complete and are designed to be done 2-3x per week. Cursive begins halfway through level 2. So if you have a child who has no knowledge of cursive and struggles with precursive, level 2 is a great place to start! ✨

As your child progresses in Handwriting it will become more of an art, which I love! (They are doing calligraphy by level 6) These Handwriting courses can make a child who can’t stand handwriting enjoy and develop beautiful handwriting! I know because I have a child like that. 😅

Happy Birthday! 🥳🎉

We just celebrated my youngest son’s birthday this week!
We are so proud of him! 🥰

Nothing like (basically) taking a week off from real life. This is the time of year we ALL need it. Schedules are shifting, and we are slowing down. I’m always hoping for more quality time together. Even as homeschoolers, we tend to simply keep busy instead of being intentional about what we say “YES” to and forgetting what or who we are saying “NO” to. We only have so much time with our children. Making sure that time with them is spent well is important. Motherhood and Homeschooling is a constant juggling act. As you keep adding one thing after another, it gets harder to juggle and you start focus more on the juggle than the quality relationships you should be building.

Be intentional with your time. It goes by fast! ⏰💨

Happy Fall! 🍁🍂

My favorite time of year! 💛

Being outside is most pleasant where we live and it can be so beautiful to be out in nature.

Fall is when we start to slow down a bit and focus on even more family time and homeschooling.

I thrive on routine, not so much a schedule. So slowing down allows for less strict time schedules and more routine flow.

Finding out that I was a routine type mom really helped me to get a handle on our homeschool rhythm!
