I wasn’t planning to design anything that day…
But when an elderly woman from my community reached out asking if I could create a logo for her new cooking venture, I paused.
She said,
“I’m not doing this for money... I just want to feed people. I cook with love, just like I used to for my grandchildren. They always called it Granny’s Touch.”
When I heard that, I couldn’t bring myself to charge her.
I decided to design this logo for free — because sometimes, purpose is bigger than profit.
This brand may be small, but the heart behind it is huge.
She’s now selling her meals locally to raise money for a feeding scheme and to support kids in need.
Every dish she makes carries warmth, love, and care.
Just like the logo — soft, gentle, and rooted in tradition.
I share this not for praise, but because it reminded me why I love doing what I do.
Design isn’t just business. It’s service, impact, connection.
