Gumbo weather is upon us and we decided to kick off the season by showing our appreciation to the field crews working on the Louisiana Watershed Initiative (LWI) project in the Lake Charles area. The crews have been working diligently in remote and heavily wooded locations, some of which have been ravaged by recent hurricanes—oftentimes creating environmentally hazardous obstacles while collecting field data.
Fenstermaker Party Chief Bobby Guillory commented, "Dax Douet and Austin Doucet cooking a great gumbo on Friday and didn’t let the rain stop them for what they came to do. Bradford Habetz Millett, PLS, EI, and company pulled off a great thank you for the field crews working on the LWI project, that was very thoughtful. Thanks!!!!"
The LWI project is a statewide initiative aimed at reducing the impacts of flooding in Louisiana. Our survey field crews collect data that is used to effectively reduce long-term flood risk and improve the quality of life for the communities we all live and work in. We're proud to be a part of this project and are immensely grateful for the dedication shown by our field crews in building a brighter future for us all!
