Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has once again publicly opposed Ukraine's future EU membership.
"Ukraine's accession to the EU jeopardizes all our achievements. We will not allow them to disrespect Hungarians!"
Orban said.
It should be added that Orban did not specify which achievements he was referring to.
It should be noted that the Hungarian prime minister's post appeared in the context of the so-called “national consultations” on Ukraine's accession to the EU. The initiator of these consultations was Orban himself, who calls on his fellow citizens to vote against Ukraine's accession.

🇿🇦🇺🇦 Zelenskyy's visit to South Africa is historic, this is the first time in 33 years that a Ukrainian president has visited our country, — Cyril Ramaphosa
"We greatly appreciate Ukraine's support in our fight for freedom. We know that some South Africans have been trained in Ukraine," — the South African president said during a joint press conference with the Ukrainian president.
South Africa believes that the only path to peace in Ukraine is through diplomacy, — President Cyril Ramaphosa
"South Africa is extremely concerned about the ongoing war in Ukraine, the loss of civilian lives and the destruction of infrastructure," — President Cyril Ramaphosa said at a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
South Africa is ready to play an important role in ensuring an effective peace process between Ukraine and Russia, - President Ramaphosa
"We, as South Africa, would like to play our role in supporting the peace process in Ukraine and Russia. And I believe that the leaders of the African continent who visited Russia and Ukraine would also like to play this positive role," he said at a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
🔹According to Ramaphosa, it is important that the war in Ukraine is put to an end, and South Africa would like to see an agreement on a ceasefire, and then a complete end to the war.
🔹Responding to a question about the role of the United States in the peace process, Ramaphosa expressed the opinion that "the United States, Europe and, of course, the African continent would like and be willing to play a productive role."
"And that is something that we, as South Africa, are also willing to do," he said.

Residential buildings were damaged: the search for people under the rubble continues. In 5 districts of the capital of Ukraine, the consequences of the night missile-drone attack are being eliminated.
That was one of the most indiscriminate missile attacks by Russia against civilians in Kyiv during the war. Kharkiv was hit about 20 times during the night as well 😡.

The Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations in London on April 23 would prefer to discuss a 30-day ceasefire rather than Trump’s "peace plan" — Axios.
At the same time, Sky News reports that the planned Wednesday meeting in London between top diplomats from the UK, U.S., France, Germany, and Ukraine has been postponed.
Instead, negotiations will take place between high-ranking officials from the five countries. The outlet notes that Deputy Foreign Minister Sybiha is expected to be in London and will meet with his British counterpart, Lammy.
The meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense of Ukraine and Great Britain began in London
Andrii Sybiha and Rustem Umerov began negotiations with their British colleagues David Lammy and John Healey.
Earlier, it became known that U.S. Secretary of State Rubio declined to attend the talks in London — according to The New York Times, this followed Zelenskyy’s refusal to recognize Crimea as Russian territory.

Pope Francis has died at the age of 88 after weeks of treatment for pneumonia.
On April 20, Pope Francis addressed the faithful for the first time since suffering from pneumonia at Easter. In his Easter message, the pontiff mentioned "war-ravaged" Ukraine, calling for peace and encouraging the parties to the conflict to work towards a just and lasting peace.
The 88-year-old Francis was hospitalized on February 14 with a severe respiratory infection, which led to the most serious deterioration in his health in his 12-year papacy.
"Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis. At 7:35 this morning, the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of His Church. He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with fidelity, courage, and universal love, especially in favor of the poorest and most marginalized. With immense gratitude for his example as a true disciple of the Lord Jesus, we commend the soul of Pope Francis to the infinite merciful love of the One and Triune God,”
- Cardinal Kevin Farrell, Camerlengo of the Apostolic Chamber.
Zelenskyy reacted to the news of the death of Pope Francis.
"His life was dedicated to God, people and the Church. He knew how to give hope, alleviate suffering through prayers and help unity. He prayed for peace in Ukraine and Ukrainians. We mourn together with Catholics and all Christians who relied on the spiritual support of Pope Francis. Eternal memory!"
- the President of Ukraine wrote.
