Shark Island is a hard rock band from Los Angeles that formed in 1979. With some line-up changes over the years, the band was revitalized by longtime fan Robert Marshall of Manifest Music. The current lineup includes Richard Black on vocals, Alex Kane on lead guitar, Chris Heilmann on bass, August Zadra on backup guitars, and Mike Dupke on drums. In 2020, the band released their hard rock album, Bloodline 2.020, mixed by Sylvia Massy. The album was a fresh sound that cut through the pop landscape and charted on Billboard's Top 40 Rock Radio Charts three times in 2022. Hits from the album include "Fire In the House," "Crazy 8s," and "Rocks On the Rocks." Shark Island is considered one of rock music's greatest comeback stories ever. Their albums of note include "S’Cool Bus," "Gathering of the Faithful" (Manifest Music), and "Live in Zagreb."
