It's the type of movie that demands your attention and repeat viewings. So much time and care went into it, and it shows.
Mark's acting surprised me. I thought he did a pretty decent job in the show The Edge of Sleep, but this performance is his best yet and completely blows any of his previous work out of the water (it's not even remotely close).
As someone who played less than an hour of the game, the film had me hooked from beginning to end.
Some scenes were too dark for a little too long, and there was some intense shaky cam in the film's climax that made it difficult to follow things. But those moments are easily forgiven due to everything else the film does right.
Because I was unfamiliar with the world of Iron Lung, some moments were difficult for me to follow at first. That might sound like a weakness, but I fully believe that was the intention.
You slowly piece things about the world together yourself through context clues in the environment and dialogue. This movie doesn't hold your hand, and I appreciate it! It focuses on visual storytelling like any good film should, rather than exposition dumps that spoonfeed the audience.
I hope to make a video to go more in-depth about my love for this movie.
As a filmmaker, it's my opinion that this film needs to be supported.

New video for fans of The Last of Us and Grey Daze. Another on and off project I started back in 2020 that I'm happy to say is finally done.
