Yesterday was our first anniversary of the TS!UNDERSWAP Demo v2.0: Starlight Isles release!
To say we were floored and humbled by the reception is an understatement -- thank you so much to everyone who's shared kind words, and remained patient while we work on this little fangame. We're excited to release more in the future!

Starlight Isles has reached functional completion -- meaning that the entire area (from a technical standpoint) is fully playable from start to finish! This also means we're ready to begin more in-depth Crystal Springs development!

Back in December, we reported that Starlight Isles was around 83% functionally complete -- and that TS!UNDERSWAP as a whole was around 26% functionally complete!
We haven't calculated what these percentages may be now, but we're slowly getting closer to the end of Starlight Isles and beginning of Crystal Springs!

Hey, everyone! We haven't had anything to post here, as we've been more focused on developing Demo v2.0 -- not only does working on preview videos redirect time from working on the game itself, but we don't want to play all of our cards by showing off too much. (READ MORE)

Since Ruined Home started off very similar to Undertale's Ruins, we only showed off the beginning (and some select pieces at that) due to the player's familiarity and low spoilers. Starlight Isles, however, completely goes off the rails from what players will expect, and so we can't show as much for the time being.

In the meantime, though, we've been continuing to try and do monthly progress reports on our GameJolt page!
Our June 2022 Progress Report will be coming sometime in the near future -- make sure to follow us on Twitter to stay up-to-date with announcements regarding that, and more!

If you haven't watched our UnderEvent 2021 Presentation just yet, make sure to do so!
In addition to discussing our project's history and what we've learned in terms of game development, we have a sneak preview of the next area: Starlight Isles!

We're also happy to announce Demo Version 2.0, which (when completed) will feature both Starlight Isles and Crystal Springs--the next two major areas of the game, following Ruined Home.

Please also go ahead and read our latest devlog, where not only do we talk about our plans for future releases, but we've finally decided to show off the designs for Alphys, Asriel, Undyne, Sir Scratchalot (Napstablook), and Toriel! Some of these have been kept under wraps for years.

Hello. While we've already talked about this on GameJolt, we're aware that not everybody here has seen it. There is no easy way to begin a post like this.
Due to recent world events, we have decided to use our platform to speak out regarding the injustices faced by people of color across the world, and provide a call-to-action for change.
Even if this is different than our usual content (we will be making a brand new Gamejolt devlog soon), please take the time to read. This impacts all of us.

For far too long, people of color have been subject to systematic racism, which has resulted in their mistreatment and deaths at the hands of those with authority and privilege. Police officers, who vowed to serve and protect innocents, have taken advantage of their power in order to abuse and kill without consequence.

Even now, as people across the world peacefully protest against these injustices, some law enforcement has decided to abdicate their responsibility to protect the rights of their citizens to demonstrate and speak out. Instead, they have declared war upon their own people, assaulting them with tear gas and rubber-coated, metal bullets. Armed white supremacist terrorist groups have been allowed free reign, while unarmed people of color are relentlessly beaten and shot.

This is not "political." These are human lives at stake.

While previous generations have failed us, we can be the generation that makes a change.

This is not the world that we should live in. We must treat people with the dignity and respect that we all deserve.

Whether it's by signing petitions, donating to causes, or simply by educating yourself and others, there are things for everyone to do.
