So psyched to finally be able to share the entire project with you all. It's obviously a different approach to how we usually make an album, and there’s definitely an opportunity to hear our individual voices in a new way. That being said we think there are similarities between the two sides, one being that they're both designed to be listened to from start to finish and so it's great to finally share both albums in their full form.

Yesterday we went to Warp and held a vinyl copy of our new DOUBLE album! ‘MK 3.5: Die Cuts | City Planning’ is coming out - November 4th.

Over the last 2 years or so, we’ve been working on music separately, in our studios in London and Los Angeles. This record is a collection of collaborations and solo productions that were made during that time.

City Planning produced by Kai is a collection of Kai’s solo tracks from the last couple of years. It started as a more club focused record but slowly changed into something a bit weirder and more improvisational, that was influenced by a range of club music as well as more physical textures.

‘Die Cuts’, produced by Dom, is a collage of productions featuring some of his close friends and collaborators out in Los Angeles - inc features from Danny Brown, KeiyaA, Wiki, Liv.e, James Blake, Nomi, Choker, Slowthai, Kučka, Reggie.

Sharing bits off of both of these records has been sick but we can’t wait for you to be able to play them as whole pieces… that’s how they should be heard.

Here’s a photo of us together, in the same country, for the first time in over a year. Location - Yucca Valley, California! Kai flew over to the states and we got to spend some time together writing new music in the desert.

Both very hyped about what we put down - Just got to piece it all together now to release it.

In the meantime, there’s two tracks we’ve been sitting on from a few years ago that didn’t feel quite right for the ‘Love What Survives’ album. You can download them for free here: mountkimbie.com/
