For those of you who watch either Critical Role or Dimension 20, how are you feeling about this? Personally, I'm pretty pumped. I love the long, rambling format of Critical Role, but I find Brennan's DMing style a bit easier to follow compared to Matt's (no shade to the latter - my brain just doesn't click as much with Matt's descriptive style), so this is kind of a match made in heaven for me.
I just overhauled all 20 of D&D's chromatic dragons, with new abilities and attacks, unique legendary actions, and alternative lore and descriptions. Those all went into my newest Patreon upload, a 40+ page PDF that also includes a detailed system for tracking and identifying dragons, and a template for building a dragonslayers' guild. It's called 'The Draconic Compendium'! I'm really proud of this one, so I thought I'd share it here: www.patreon.com/posts/tales-arcane-129584569
Folks, it feels great to be posting regularly again! The ideas are coming thick and fast, and I can't wait to share my content with you all. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who's been commenting, feeding back, and just making it feel like there's people out there on the other side of the camera. It means a lot!
Here's something a bit different - I recently had a chat with โช@RdotDoyleโฌabout D&D, world building, and a lot more! I had a blast doing it, and this is the first of two episodes we filmed.
MARCH 20th, 8.00am EST. We're going to talk about running DISASTERS: fires, floods, storms, earthquakes, and reckless artificers. See you on Thursday, folks!
I just posted a new video! This one covers an unusual TTRPG that lets you use puns and wordplay to get an advantage within the game. Oh, and it's set in Discworld!
