Classic Rock Media Archive is a collective dedicated to preserving amateur-shot concert film, mostly shot on 8mm and Super 8. If you filmed or have any film, please contact classicrockmediaarchive@gmail.com
Hey everyone. Our Summer break is coming to a close, and we wanted to give you a small update regarding the channel and our upload schedule.
We love sharing unseen films as well as the 4k upgrades of pre-existing films for you all, and even though we found good success in uploading upwards of 3 times per week in our last run of uploads (Mon/Wed/Sat), we've decided that it would be best to move forward with just 1 upload a week (Sat).
You must understand that we are only human, and we are a very small team who absolutely love what we do here. Attempting to push out 3 films a week is very grueling work!
Please also understand that we do this entirely out of love for preservation and amateur concert footage. We put out all of these films for free, and we intend on keeping it this way. At the same time, this hobby is incredibly expensive. If you love what we do and want to continue seeing more of it in the future, please consider donating to the link below. 100% of the proceeds go toward shipping and scanning these films.
Hi everyone! We'd like to thank each and every one of you for the incredible support on our first batch of uploads. We will be taking a break from now until May!
We have some truly amazing stuff coming for you all. A considerable chunk of our first batch pales in comparison to what we have coming in the summer. We're very happy to see everybody enjoying the new films of Yes, King Crimson and Rush in particular.
Also! We do this entirely for free; we're non-profit and do this out of love for bootleg fans and classic rock fans, film preservation, and doing the job right. This is a hobby for the four of us running this group, and we love what we do. That being said, this hobby is INCREDIBLY expensive!!! If you love what we do and want to see more of it, please consider donating to our ko-fi link below!
100% of the proceeds go to buying, shipping, and scanning these films for everybody to enjoy. While we have covered amazing ground, it has been a very expensive journey to get here. If you have the time and means, please consider donating!
One last thing: we have a Discord server! If you would like to join, please send us an email at classicrockmediaarchive@gmail.com
And of course, if you know anybody who may have concert footage, photographs, or audio recordings from the 1950s through the 1990s, please consider getting in touch with us at classicrockmediaarchive@gmail.com
Thanks for these first two incredible months of CRMA! We can't wait to show you what's in store!
