Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I last made a post, so I'm writing one again. I have a question to ask you, as well as a small announcement to make!
First, *what kind of content would you like to see on the channel?* Or, what would you suggest I could make? I feel like the way I work right now, with sparse uploads of particularly good/interesting plays I get (that I work hard to get on camera) is pretty alright, but it doesn't exactly bring in much attention towards the channel and also people are left waiting for long periods of time. Should I perhaps lower my standards and upload more plays that aren't nearly as impressive? So instead of uploading exclusively DFCs and some very hard FCs, I could upload regular FCs that I get in my day-to-day and maybe every time I get a new score I'd upload it, kind of turning the channel into a little diary of my Taiko progress. I don't really like the idea that much, but if my viewers would like to see me upload more, I'd consider it. I'd also consider doing something non-standard, that is to say, videos that AREN'T just me playing the game regularly; maybe a self-imposed challenge, or a video about my thoughts on Rhythm Festival a few years after its release, or a video revisiting Drum 'n' Fun even MORE years after its release, or something like that. I could also start posting videos of myself playing other rhythm games, or branching out to other types of games I like like fighting games. Whatever you guys can think of or suggest can help. I'll add a poll for this.
Additionally, *I am considering changing the channel name and appearance*. This is because I don't really vibe with the "Latioslife" username anymore, as I've had it since I was pretty young and I'm not really much of a Pokémon fan anymore so it doesn't feel like it fits. If I do end up rebranding anytime soon, PLEASE do not get scared and unsubscribe because you don't recognize the channel!! If/when I go through with this I'll make an announcement video and also note that my old username was this one in my channel description just to make sure.
Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you guys know I'm still alive, haha. I haven't been playing Taiko very much since I've been very busy with university. On top of that, I've been sort of burnt out regarding rhythm games as a whole. The little free time I've had recently has been spent almost entirely on fighting games, with the occasional detour to other genres that I don't play often, mostly in the form of games in my backlog or short games recommended by friends.
That said, I *have* been playing a little. I reached Gold Meijin again in December, and I seem to be well on my way to reaching Choujin if I put in the work. I full comboed Yuugen no Ran off camera just a couple days ago, and I also full comboed the new 10s from a few days ago, including Synthesis.
I have a few videos from a while back that I never uploaded, among which are a Gloria DFC and a The Future of the TAIKO DRUM Ura FC, but I haven't found the time or motivation to actually edit and post them. The thumbnails are the most annoying part, honestly...
Don't count on it, but maybe I'll record something soon. The Katamari Denonbu songs that they're adding this week are songs I've been really, REALLY wanting to see in the game for a while, so it's an amazing coincidence that they're actually putting them in the game. It feels almost like I willed it into existence, haha. Hopefully this'll motivate me enough to get off my butt and record something.
That's about it from me, though. Just wanted to update you guys and let you know I haven't vanished off the face of the Earth.

But! Rest assured, I'll post something soon. Finals are coming up so it might take me a couple weeks to post a proper video, but in the meantime I want to try something new! I have some Shorts lined up. Well, kinda. I still have to edit them to look a little more polished. But they're almost there!
I hope everyone has been alright. I see I'm rapidly approaching 1000 subs... I'll have to prepare something super special for when that finally happens! Maybe I can collaborate with someone again... or finally get one of the super hard Full Combos I've been dreading to grind. I'll figure something out!

Mostly other rhythm games, like DJMAX and Groove Coaster, but I do indulge in a lot of other genres from time to time. That's not the point though; if I were to create content centered around other games, it would likely be those other rhythm games I mentioned. I already have some older Groove Coaster videos (and a DEEMO video) up, but they didn't do very well at all. No matter. I enjoy playing the games regardless.
I'm sure there are a lot of interesting video ideas one could come up with regarding Taiko, but I'm not great at coming up with ideas since I'm not a very experienced content creator. I've enjoyed the collabs I've made with other Taiko creators in the past, so doing those every so often is definitely a safe path. I could also try making more miscellaneous stuff... which sounds very vague, but I guess that's what that word means. Maybe something like making my friends play Taiko on the drum for the first time would suit the nebulous "miscellaneous" concept I have in my mind.
But I want to hear what you guys think. This following poll doesn't encapsulate everything, but it contains some general points that will help me survey what kind of content I should work on moving forward. I would also love it if you guys could reply to this post with ideas or what you would like to see specifically. Thank you in advance!

Hey everyone! I'm posting to let you all know that I'm considering streaming not just on Twitch, but on here as well. I want to see whether my viewers would be interested in this or not and I want to see what time and day works best for everyone. I know my viewer base lives in many different parts of the world, mostly in America (continent) and Europe. As you might know I live in Mexico. I'm located in CST (so UTC-6:00 all year round now that Mexico has abolished daylight savings), and the day that works the best for me is Friday, where I'm usually free to drum at 4 PM, going for about 3 hours. If I were to begin streaming weekly at that time, would you be able to come watch?
TL;DR I might try to start streaming on Fridays at 4 PM CST. Does this work for you?

So, about that Chaos Time 2, huh? It's fun.

Adding onto my previous post, I would like to know what kind of content you guys would like to see from me.
