My goal is to make several Undertale related videos in order to capitalize on Deltarune releasing next month. The collaboration with Gio is also going to be ongoing.
Imagine my output as being in kind of 3 "branches" in May and June:
BRANCH 1: Undertale/Deltarune BRANCH 2: Gio Collab BRANCH 3: Any random crap I think is interesting

SHORT VERSION:
1. Lack of interest
Homestuck projects broadly don't interest me as much as they used to, and the idea of spending another four to five years on it doesn't sound fun any more. This isn't out of any spite for Homestuck, I just feel as though I'm moving past it.
2. Lack of resources
This is related to point number 1, but I've been unable to commit my time to the many supplemental things that need to be done for HSAU from updating the AO3 to updating the Bandcamp to making promo of the project for YouTube. I have thought about getting manpower for help but I don't feel like the viewership is large enough to actually support this. Basically, this is a vanity project and I can't keep putting money into it.
3. Personal changes
Over the past three or four years that I've had any level of success, the most rewarding material I've made is nonfiction video essays. I'm passionate about discussing media and analysis as well as philosophy and theology, an itch that Homestuck is no longer able to scratch. For a long time, I've felt like a big fish in a small pond and that making content for Homestuck, a niche fandom that isn't getting any less niche, is a game that I've dominated by virtue of essentially being the only person discussing anything analytical. I want to move on.
Since HSAU is paused and the Classpect video needs more time to cook, I'm going to be releasing some smaller videos over the end of February and March. They're going to be about UNDERTALE and be shorter than my usual videos.
I'm also going to reorganize my playlists and home page so people can find things more easily. I have a lot of videos from over the years on YouTube and the sheer volume has gotten out of hand.
Happy Black History month! I'm disappointed Google took it out of their calendars, but let's be honest, who the fuck uses Google Calendar? We don't need their permission to celebrate. If you want a good book about black history, I've been reading "Seize the Time" by Bobby Seale. I know I don't usually talk about stuff like this but it's been on my mind lol.
Update: HSAU Act 4 Finale is still coming out TOMORROW. Stand by for the premiere. I had Covid this week so I thought I would have to delay it again, but I DIDN'T. Illness can't beat me.
